This Chopard smells very refined; it might just be the brand’s best, surpassing the Oud Malaki. It has few notes, but they’re well-balanced: saffron, rose, and very soft wood. It’s a bit sharp at first, but soon turns sweet without being cloying. It could be a bit linear, but it’s super unisex with great longevity (6-8 hours). If you like sweet, soft oriental roses, give it a try. The bottle is gorgeous.
I absolutely love this scent: the saffron opening is top-notch and the rose is exquisite. The cedar adds a smoky touch that saves it from being too basic. It reminds me a bit of Penhaligon’s Cairo, though this one smells more vanilla, spicy, and deep. Fragrantica only lists three notes, but someone down below explains the rest. Bottom line: for this price and quality, it’s a must-buy.
