  Finally tried Es Exquisita, and without a doubt, among the ones I’ve tested from Mancera and Creed Boise to Club de Nuit and Zara Vibrant, this one took a step up within the exclusive and aphrodisiac category. It’s the most potent, leads in longevity, and boasts Italian quality; I’d even say it’s improved upon the Creed Aventus itself. The issue is the price, which is limited for some budgets. What’s strange is that Creed or Mancera don’t have that monstrous longevity everyone expects, but they do offer great quality; Venetian Blue Intense from The Venetian Merchant actually fulfilled all those promises, being a high-quality EDP concentrate with evolution, longevity, and a price point I’d say is more accessible than Creed. The Italians certainly know how to make good things; just hope they don’t raise prices to the clouds or they’ll lose their charm.

  My first blind buy of a niche fragrance, around $110, with plans to wear it in summer. The packaging is top-tier: sturdy, with a beautiful map, and excellent bottle and caps. The scent wasn’t what I expected from the reviews; at first, it smells like burnt or very green patchouli, perhaps due to the pepper, which is the most prominent note. This facet lasts for most of the wear time; after two hours, something woodier emerges with a touch of moss and an aquatic sensation. By the end, the fruity aspect is very dry because the pepper is still there. It lasts about 8 to 10 hours, projects well, and has a good trail balance. I don’t see it as youthful or summery; it’s more formal, dark, dense, and complex. The purchase was worth it, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase.

  My first blind buy of a niche fragrance, to be honest. I got it for just over $110, planning to wear it in summer. The presentation is top-notch: sturdy packaging, a beautiful map, and an excellent bottle with caps. Regarding the scent, I thought I’d encounter something extremely fruity based on the reviews, but that’s not the case. At first, it feels like patchouli, burnt or very green, perhaps due to the pepper; I believe the spices are the main focus in VBI; this facet lasts for most of its duration. After one or two hours, it becomes more woody with a hint of moss and a slightly aquatic sensation; by the end, you perceive a fruity note but it’s extremely dry, as the pepper persists. Longevity is about 8 to 10 hours, it projects well, and has a good trail balance. I don’t see it as very youthful; it’s more formal. The fruity facet wasn’t what I expected, and it’s not very summery given the dominance of spices, patchouli, and woods; I barely notice citrus or freshness. It’s a dark, dense, and complex perfume. The purchase was worth it, but I don’t think I’ll repurchase.

  This starts, at first glance, like a classic blue with its pineapple, freshness, and all. Then it dries down into something more spicy, enveloping, voluptuous, and tar-like. It’s a dark leathery scent but nothing automotive, rather spicy. It makes me think of Aragonese black olive pâté, especially against the skin. Way down below, it maintains an aquatic and fresh nuance that doesn’t disappear, but I think the pseudo-leather birch-moss is the one holding the baton here.

  Starts with that classic blue pineapple freshness, but dries down into something spicy, enveloping, and even tar-like. It’s dark and leathery, not car-related at all, but rather spicy; it reminds me of Aragonese black olive pâté against the skin. Beneath it all, the aquatic freshness remains, held up by that birch-moss note that seems to be conducting the show.
