I was really craving this perfume. It arrived with an unpleasant note on my skin. At first, the roses and musk were fine, but then a smoky or earthy incense note came through and confused me. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent; it lasted 7 or 8 hours and the packaging is luxurious, but this baby wasn’t for me, so I gave it as a gift.
With all the praise for Lattafa, I wanted to try one. I chose Velvet Rose because it’s my favorite. I absolutely love it: it’s a freshly opened rose, fresh, soft, and powdery. It’s the scent I was looking for for work—subtle and pleasant. I wear it behind my ears and catch it when I breathe, making my day a little brighter. I’m so happy.
I tried it in-store and didn’t like it at all. I don’t smell any rose or anything. It smells like wood and saliva, it’s persistent and even uncomfortable.
This perfume has something that just doesn’t work for me. I use it occasionally, forcing myself to wear it. What is true is that it lasts forever and the bottle is gorgeous.
I was looking for rose and didn’t smell it. It was disappointing; it smells masculine. At first, it’s okay, but then the patchouli gets overpowering, and once it dries on my skin, it smells like leather. I’m done with it—I didn’t like it, and there was only a medicinal floral note at the beginning. Don’t buy it blindly.
Reading the reviews, I agree: I don’t detect any roses or freshness. It’s unisex, but it just doesn’t work for me. I’ll try to resell it; I’m from Santiago.
