  1. I don’t like the concept of dupes or inspirations for many reasons: it’s neither fair nor ethical to copy others’ creativity, and quality deserves to be paid for. I found this by chance, and wow, I actually like it more than the original ‘interpretation’ by Tom Ford, the famous Tobacco Vanille. It’s just as winter-appropriate, but softer, less persistent, and less sharp at first. It’s more versatile with a lighter character, sweeter, and easier to wear. Unlike the other one, it doesn’t give me headaches—at least with the sample I was given. It perfectly captures that TF signature, hitting about 95% of the mark. It doesn’t feel watery or synthetic like so many of these do. You can smell the nuts, tobacco, and vanilla from the very first moment. These aren’t hazelnuts or walnuts, but more like dried apricots or Christmas prunes.
