In my opinion, this is a nightmare. I tried it at Sephora looking for Solinote’s Yuzu for my husband, who is a huge fan of the brand, and almost choked on the smell. It gave me nausea and a headache. The opening is sweet, but it smells like rotting coconut mixed with melon. The good news is it doesn’t last; it fades away in two hours.
In my opinion, it’s a nightmare. I tested it at Sephora looking for Solinote’s Yuzu for my husband, who is a brand fanatic, and almost choked on the scent. It gave me nausea and a headache. The opening is sweet, but it smells like rotting coconut mixed with melon. The good news is it doesn’t last; it fades away in about two hours.
Starts with a soft coconut blended with tiare flower, and occasionally the peach says ‘hello’ without being too prominent. The result is a beachy, salty, milky fragrance with decent projection. It’s quirky because two hours later, when you think it’s gone, a fresh burst of air hits you again. While it’s not a beast in terms of longevity, it’s theoretically an Eau de Parfum (Fragrantica lists it as Toilette, but in-store it’s Parfum). To put it lightly, it’s like the low-cost version of Maison Margiela’s ‘Beach Walk.’ While Margiela’s is a hyper-realistic reproduction of the beach with its people and sand but hard to wear, this is just a part of the story, infinitely more wearable and affordable. When would I wear it? Definitely in summer, especially in the afternoon after a nap. At night? Yes, if it’s not a formal event.
