Aromatic and spicy opening, but seconds later it releases the magic: resins, iris, and a soft, powdery sweetness, like old talcum powder with a fresh twist. Note: let it macerate for a couple of weeks; it doesn’t last long when fresh, but after that, you get 4-6 hours in your personal bubble. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. To me, it leans more towards Gentleman Parfum than Dior. It’s that resinous, sweet blend of orris, iris, and labdanum. Very clean and sweet, perfect for dates and special occasions. Definitely one of my iris favorites.
I own a ton of iris perfumes, and this is one of my favorites. I love the opening for that high-quality note accompanying the iris; I think it’s elemi, smelling like a burning branch you just snapped, slightly spicy. It’s a very friendly scent, easy to wear and enjoy. Maybe the only downside is it could last a bit longer, but for the price, it’s pretty good. Highly recommended and hard to dislike; it might not enchant you, but it’s complicated to not like it.
Hi, just bought it and I’ve been wearing it for an hour with two sprays. I’m an iris fanatic, and the opening is very prominent here. Then it softens and blends with vanilla, creating a very good sweet and powdery accord. I’ll expand later, but for now, I can say it’s a very good fragrance. Cheers.
