It’s identical to Sauvage, but the projection and longevity are scarce for an EDP… Armaf doesn’t just clone other houses’ fragrances; they even clone their own, as this smells exactly like Ventana. Just to add: it’s cheaper than Dior, but with less punch, though the scent is the same. Longevity and sillage: moderate. EDIT: After leaving it in the attic, I used it today, 08-08-2020, and it gave me a heavy sillage and lasted until the next day; I could still smell it when I woke up, though much fainter… honestly, I can’t explain it, because when I first tested it, the performance was quite moderate and rather discreet.
Smells identical to Sauvage but lacks projection and longevity for an EDP… Armaf clones even its own fragrances, since it’s also the same as Ventana. Same scent as Dior but less powerful. EDIT: Today I used it after leaving it in the closet, and it had heavy sillage and lasted until the next day, something I didn’t understand before when it was more discreet.
I want to be very clear about this fragrance because I’ve had mixed experiences. It opens with citrus and a touch of tonka bean; during the next 30 minutes, the top notes fade and give way to nutmeg, with barely any sandalwood or vanilla. After two hours, the base notes appear: moss and cinnamon. I must point out that it opens very strong; with just 4 sprays, it invades the space around you within a meter, so much so that people may back away. I recommend waiting 15 minutes for the fragrance to settle. It’s nothing like Dior Sauvage; I find it warmer rather than fresh, though I have to admit it attracts women, even if I don’t enjoy the aroma much—that’s the point: the message you want to send. Women love it and it’s extremely sensual. I recommend it for an outdoor date, evening wear, spring, and autumn, since it’s sensual and you can’t get the most out of it at other times. One important point: the packaging is extremely elegant, and I believe Armaf has a tendency to present their fragrances in very elegant and beautiful boxes. It’s similar in some aspects to Mary Kay’s Passion fragrance.
I’ve had mixed experiences with this: it opens with citrus and tonka bean, then moves to nutmeg, sandalwood, and vanilla, finishing with moss and cinnamon. It opens very strong—4 sprays can overpower you at a meter, so wait 15 minutes before heading out. It’s not like Sauvage; it’s warmer than fresh, but women love it for its sensuality. I recommend it for night dates in spring or fall. The packaging is elegant, just like Mary Kay Passion.
It smells very much like Sauvage but is much cheaper; obviously, it’s of lower quality, but for the price, it’s a great option.
Very similar to Sauvage but much cheaper; although it’s lower quality, it’s a great option for the price.
I love it. Today I tested many Ambar scents and got confused, but this one is top. It has a green citrus opening but the amber evolves without being intrusive; I think it’s the most balanced I’ve smelled lately.
For the price, it offers decent performance.
Rich fragrance, similar to Sauvage EDP but with shorter longevity and projection. It has a sensual touch that gives it an edge over Ventana, ideal for special occasions while Ventana is better for everyday wear.
For NinjaML, I have it and it smells much more like the Sauvage EDT.
Does anyone know if it smells closer to the EDT or the EDP of Sauvage?
For NinjaML, I have it and it smells much more like the EDT.
Thanks @vutreras for the info, I tried it: Armaf The Pride has the Sauvage DNA but opens sweeter and less loud, without that metallic Dior touch. On my skin, it lasts almost 12 hours with strong projection, while the 2024 Sauvage fades after 7 hours. Totally beast mode.
It’s a beast, smells about 80% like Sauvage but with higher-quality vanilla than Coach Platinum. Perfect for daily wear, the gym, or semi-formal events. Great product.
It’s very good; I’ve never smelled Dior Sauvage, but it’s about 80% similar to Coach Platinum. The Coach feels a bit higher quality in the vanilla. It’s very good for daily wear and any occasion, from the gym to something semi-formal.
