  • It’s one of the few Afnan lines discussed on the Spanish Fragrantica. Out of all Afnan perfumes I’ve tried, these are very good quality at a fair price, as they should be, without inflating costs due to absurd marketing. Here, the abstract concept of Dior Sauvage’s base notes—pepper, lavender, and ambroxan load—is combined with excellent performance and nuclear projection. This perfume simply lasts 8 hours firmly planted, and its versatility stands out in every aspect: office, social, occasional outings, dates. It’s a brief mix between Dior’s EDT and EDP with a touch of ‘business sheik’ oriental vibe. Highly recommended for its price, longevity, and lack of hype.

  • I can only recommend it. I loved Luna Rossa Carbon, but this is better: more potent, longer-lasting, better price, no complaints. BBB.

  • It has the same opening as Sauvage EDT and Luna Rossa Carbon, but with more lavender. It’s much stronger and more potent. However, the scent doesn’t evolve like the others; it stays in the top notes. If you like the first spray of Sauvage and Luna Rossa, you’ll love this. If you prefer the evolution of the heart and base notes, this might not be what you’re looking for. It also reminds me a bit of Club de Nuit Urban Elixir.

  • Smells exactly like the opening of Sauvage EDT and Luna Rossa Carbon, but with more lavender and way more potency. The issue is that it doesn’t evolve; it gets stuck on those top notes. If you love the first spray of those two, you’ll adore this; if you’re looking for heart and base evolution, it’s not for you. It also reminds me of Club de Nuit Urban Elixir.

Fresh and delicious fragrance, very similar to Chanel’s Egoiste. It has moderate projection but lasts up to 6 hours without issues. Good buy.

Fresh and delicious fragrance, very similar to Chanel’s Egoiste. Average projection but lasts up to 6 hours without issues. Good buy.

  • I loved this fragrance and find it similar to Sauvage EDT and Luna Rossa Carbon, as if it’s somewhere in between, especially leaning toward Prada in the opening minutes.

  • Critics blame Arabic perfumery for copying scents and bottles without scruples. But what do you say when original brands pull beloved perfumes or reformulate them worse without lowering the price? Dior, following Blue de Chanel, set a benchmark with Sauvage, but aside from the Elixir, the line isn’t worth it anymore due to the price and performance, including the recent hit to Sauvage Acqua Forte. On its part, L’Oréal entered Prada to make Luna Rossa Carbon, a twin to Sauvage, a shadow of what it was when Puig bottled it. That was the situation when Afnan rescued both DNA profiles and offered us Modest Une. Tired of searching for alternatives and eager for a blue fragrance that performs on my dry skin, I bought it blind for 22€. What a surprise. The bottle resembles YSL’s Myself, heavy crystal without a magnetic cap. The box hardly envies niche presentations. The scent: very close to the discussed DNA, explosive opening, more aromatic than the references, with good projection for an hour before wrapping you in a personal bubble. It doesn’t feel synthetic. Performance: six hours on my dry skin, reaching eight on oily skin. Plus, it’s a source of compliments. In short: thanks, Afnan.

I compared it to Sauvage EDT and Luna Rossa Carbon. It’s about 80% Prada and 20% Dior. Very clean. I totally recommend it; good quality. The longevity is poor, around 4-5 hours. For me, Carbon smells very ‘anesthetized,’ and this Modest Une corrects that. Spectacular, an easy and safe fragrance, ideal as a gift for someone without a collection.

I compared it to Sauvage EDT and Luna Rossa Carbon. I’d say it’s 80% Prada and 20% Dior, very clean. I totally recommend it, good quality. However, the longevity is poor, around 4-5 hours. The Carbon smells very ‘anesthetized’ to me, and this Modest Une corrects that. Spectacular, friends: it’s an easy, safe fragrance, perfect for gifting to someone who doesn’t have perfumes. Even though the longevity is short, it smells great.

  • Fragranticman

Smells like a mix of Sauvage, Luna Rossa Carbon, and The Icon. It’s not identical to any of them, but has nuances from all three. It’s not sweet, though it subtly sweetens as it dries down. Sometimes the pepper is very low and it leans toward Prada; other times it’s boosted and reminds me of The Icon. It has Dior’s citrus, lavender, and ambroxan base. If you’ve used the Prada or Dior originals, you’ll notice this one has inferior olfactory quality. If you’re planning to buy it blind based on reviews claiming it’s equal to Sauvage or Carbon, I say try it first—if that’s your expectation, it won’t satisfy you. Out of all the clones I’ve tried, none match the quality of those two. This is good, but it doesn’t replace them. With Prada and Dior, I’d wear a suit and tie; with this, I wouldn’t, because the quality feels lower, even though it smells nice. It’s perfect for informal situations. Not bad for 21€ for 100ml.

It feels like a blend of Sauvage EDT, Luna Rossa Carbon, and The Icon EDT. It’s not identical to any of them; it has nuances from all three. It’s not sweet, but as it dries down, it gets a subtly sweet touch. Sometimes the pepper note is very low and it leans more toward Prada; other times the spice is strong and gives it the vibe of The Icon. Of course, it carries Dior’s original base of citrus, lavender, and ambroxan. Anyone who has used the Prada or Dior versions will immediately notice the difference in olfactory quality. If someone wants to buy it blind based on reviews claiming it’s equal to Sauvage or Carbon, I’d say try it first, because if that’s your expectation, it won’t satisfy you. Out of all the clones or imitations I’ve tried, none reach the quality of those two. This one is good, but it doesn’t replace them. While I’d wear the Prada and Dior versions with a suit and tie, I wouldn’t wear this one because it feels lower quality, even though it smells good. It’s perfect for informal situations. Not bad, to be honest. 21 euros for 100ml.

  • They sold it to me as a dupe for Sauvage, but it’s not that similar. Maybe 30% resemblance. I’m bothered by the strong minty opening; it smells like greenery for about 30 minutes. Lasts an average of 4 hours on my pH. For the price, it’s decent, but I wouldn’t buy it again since it was a blind purchase.
