  I picked this up in London on a trip where I brought back several treasures. What a beast of a perfume! Dark, intense, and smoky. The cypress carries significant weight, giving it a crucial aromatic lift that deepens that dark oud vibe. It’s pure fire, animalic skin, and a lot of rough-edged musk. You can detect the vanilla, though it doesn’t over-sweeten. It has a bit of Interlude, but nothing more. It’s a masterful job by Celine Zarokian, someone who could have easily signed it as Francesca Bianchi. The 50ml bottle lasts a lifetime. Most would label this as a masculine winter scent. If you love mysterious, dense perfumes that demand attention, give it a try. Not many people will wear this, or almost none.

  I was genuinely surprised by how wearable this oud is; I read reviews calling it unbearable and overpowering, but that’s not the case here. With my nose trained on Aquas di Gio, I can compare accurately: yes, it’s potent and dark, but it smells fantastic. It’s a genuine woody, smoky oud; the cypress note brings that clarity and silver touch that saves it, even though I personally don’t trust cypress. It’s a characterful scent, slightly vintage yet fresh enough to make it more wearable than I expected. It’s not Oud Infini, Musiqa Oud, or Africa Olifant—those are definitely too difficult for daily wear.
