Powerful fragrance with a mineral oud, a bit animalic; it reminds me a lot of Xerjoff’s Gao; if we smell it right, they’re very similar.
Testing a decant of Secret, this Opus XIII Silver Oud is one of my first niche ouds, and it’s something you can’t imagine: it doesn’t smell like poop or animal. It’s warm, deep, woody, with a bitter sweetness. It’s masculine but friendly, like a guy who’s easy to get along with—nothing distant or challenging. Exceptional quality and an impressive trail with tons of nuances. Context: I ordered Tauer’s L’Oud at the same time to compare; that one is very challenging and dirty, more of an experience than something wearable, reminiscent of the leather in Lonestar Memories struggling with that animal oud. It’s not unpleasant, just challenging.
I tested a decant of Secret Opus XIII Silver Oud, one of my first niche ouds, and here’s the kicker: zero poop or animalic vibes. It’s warm, deep, and woody with a bitter sweetness that gives it a masculine yet accessible personality, like a guy who’s easy to get along with—nothing distant or challenging. The quality is exceptional, and the trail has tons of depth with so many nuances. For context, I bought Tauer’s L’Oud at the same time to compare; that one is super challenging and dirty, more of an experience than something I’d wear daily. It reminds me of the leather in Lonestar Memories fighting with that animalic oud—not unpleasant, but definitely a challenge.
Another copy of that dry, smoky DNA found in white-label brands or Oud Imperial. Here it costs 450 bucks—please, take them away from me, Maria! The longevity is about 24 hours, haha.
Look, it’s just too much for me, but the quality is supreme. If anyone wants to take it off my hands, feel free.
I’m testing it with the testers at El Corte Inglés until they realize I’m almost there every day to spray it on, because the bottle costs 490 euros and that price isn’t in my budget, but the scent is absolutely brutal. BRUTAL!!!! With insane longevity that lasts up to 24 hours even after showering. Animalic, leather, very balanced oud, dark woods… I can’t find any flaws they claim. Obviously, given the price and intensity, you shouldn’t buy it blindly. You have to try it and see how it goes for you. Personally, it’s an absolute masterpiece. It transports me to a sacred temple filled with wood and smoky resin. Very masculine. I’m hooked on smelling myself and enjoying how I smell with this beast. I like it more than Reflection, which is their best-seller. Bottom line: what a fantastic perfume!!!! (But at that price, I’ll keep spraying it at El Corte until a sniper stops me from approaching the counter) 😅❤️🔥

Cecile Zarokian has crafted an olfactory jewel worthy of admiration. Silver Oud is not just a perfume; it’s a journey that leaves the Western world behind to immerse you in the seductive gloom of the East. Every note resonates with nobility, as if hand-carved from the finest oud. Dark, imposing, and mysterious, it doesn’t seek to please—it commands. At first, it confuses, then fascinates, and finally conquers. Its trail lingers like an echo that refuses to fade. For those who don’t want to smell ‘good’ but unforgettable, for those who want to stand out through depth. This is not just any oud: it’s royal oud, eternal and immortal.
Cecile Zarokian has created an olfactory jewel worthy of admiration. Silver Oud isn’t just a perfume; it’s a sensory journey, a trip that leaves the Western world behind to dive into the seductive dim light of the East. Every note resonates with unbreakable nobility, as if hand-carved from the finest oud raw materials. Dark, imposing, and full of mystery, Silver Oud doesn’t try to please; it commands. The first breath confuses you; the second fascinates you; by the end, it conquers your soul. Its trail lingers like an echo refusing to fade. For those like me who don’t want to smell ‘good,’ but unforgettable. For those who want to stand out not by being loud, but by being deep. This isn’t just any oud: it’s royal oud, eternal oud, immortal oud.
For trained noses. An invasion of resins and smoky notes, nuclear longevity, a jewel that many won’t understand.

Sorry in advance, but this smells like shit. At least at first, it’s totally fecal. I can’t believe anyone would wear this, seriously. Eww, so gross. Slowly it gets better… but improving the opening isn’t that hard… after the initial blast, the resines kick in, lots of smoky/incense vibes (very recognizable Amouage scent) and a dark chocolatey patchouli. It’s a challenging scent by definition. Dark, dense, difficult, dirty, and complex. It might be good… but definitely not for me.
Sorry, huh? At first, it smells like shit, totally fecal. I don’t get why anyone wears this, ew, what a turn-off. It gets better slowly… but improving the opening isn’t that hard. Then the resines kick in, lots of smoke and incense (typical Amouage) and a dark patchouli with chocolate. It’s a challenging scent by definition: dark, dense, difficult, dirty, and complex. Maybe it’s good, but it’s not for me.
Heavy oud with an animalic touch, some cheesy and fecal notes, smoky and resinous. It’s an art piece for a few: you have to love dirty oud, even if it’s not the hardest I’ve tried. It’s polarizing and brutal, but I still prefer its sibling King Blue because it’s more versatile and generally pleasant.
