  It’s one of my favorite Amouage scents. It’s perfect, delicate, and elegant. It whispers, ‘I’m luxurious, but I’m not going to overwhelm you.’ It’s intimate, feminine, fresh, and has a strong presence, ideal for any time of day or season. UFFF… I absolutely adore it!

  English reviews have largely overlooked this perfume, but it’s an absolute hidden gem. Come late summer, when it’s not scorching hot, you really appreciate Ciel’s ozonic, almost aquatic floral blend. Water lily takes the lead, sometimes creating a breeze of water, other times a pure floral breeze, and at others, a woody breeze. Amouage loves playing with surprises depending on the season, humidity, or time of day. Right now, for me, it’s incredible. At first, violet leaves compete with the lilies, but in the end, those smoky incense-touched lilies make the sandalwood and cedar really shine. It’s a total experience.

  I have a theory that what I smelled years ago, when I was 13, was either a fake or a generic sample just labeled ‘Ciel,’ because I haven’t found anything like it since. Even if I’m not 100% sure, the memories match: it smelled like soft white velvet, clean, with that soapy lotus touch that’s sweet and watery, mixed with the warmth of sandalwood. It reminds me of stepping on warm, wet wood under the sun, with that flower and jasmine floating in the pure air. They described it as delicate, crystal-clear, and velvety. I’m 31 now and I still haven’t forgotten that scent; it wasn’t a bomb, but I loved it so much and I still haven’t heard anything quite like it.
