A gorgeous scent that’s gotten so many compliments, perfect for fall and winter.
The Chronic isn’t what I expected; it starts sparkling with lots of pepper and cinnamon, then moves to patchouli with caramel (an undeclared sweetness) and a sometimes-clean musk. I detect faint yellow flower notes like frangipani, but overall it feels a bit messy. I see it as more feminine and spectacular on a woman, though its gourmand nuances make it unisex. I don’t find it very versatile and think cold weather is its strong suit. It reminds me of Instant Crush, although Mancera’s version evolves into something plastic that I don’t like. Here, the quality is noticeable, but the price is high, so I’d look for other options. Rating: 6/10
