The opening is citrusy and fresh, but as it dries down, it fades slightly to reveal a wonderful vanilla—nothing artificial, very creamy and warm. I think the sandalwood gives it a very sexy touch. Out of the entire vanilla line, this is my favorite, along with Virgile. Sillage and longevity are moderate.
It’s the second of my favorite Delacourte vanillas. I ordered it after trying the discovery set and was so amazed that, even though it was small (30ml), I couldn’t wait to wear it. Valkyrie is versatile, youthful, and playful. The opening is very sweet; be warned, it can be cloying at first. The sillage is moderate but wide for those curious about scents. It lasts 5-6 hours, then fades to skin scent. I detect a lot of sandalwood and a touch of bitter orange. It’s a woody, aromatic, and citrusy vanilla. Well-composed, with raw ingredients and nothing synthetic. Over time, the longevity improves. 10/10 for sweet vanilla lovers.

Valkyrie is a summer vanilla I absolutely love, especially at sunset. It’s that kind of scent that envelops you and is noticeable when someone gets close. It transitions from a clean lemon to a sweet, bright vanilla—a beautiful contrast that has completely won me over. Nothing artificial; the blend of vanilla and sandalwood is super sensual. Perfect for summer nights with bronzed skin. My favorite in the line.

Fine vanilla and citrus notes, but watch out: out of the whole collection, Vahina is my favorite. They’re all pretty, but my issue is that they don’t last on the skin at all; even less than a fresh cologne, and they’re gone in an hour. With great regret, I had to cancel my purchase.
