It’s simply a feminine perfume, recommended for a bride! It’s white, creamy, delicate, and super long-lasting; with a tiny amount, you get a delicate but noticeable trail. Highly recommended, especially if you like Mugler’s Alien. Combined… oh my god, something else entirely.
An exquisite, creamy, pure, and sweet neroli without being cloying, with a touch of jasmine. I thought I hated neroli because I’d only tried cheap synthetics, like store air fresheners that give me a headache. Discovering this perfume changed my mind, and now I love this note. What does Narcotic V smell like? Neroli, neroli, and neroli. If you don’t like it, it’s not for you. But watch out: it’s a clean, creamy neroli, slightly green, less carnal than Carnal Flower and less potent than a Fracas. If you can’t get this, I’d say it’s similar to Profumo di Fiori’s Yellow Bloom, but without the ylang-ylang, much cleaner and more realistic. While Bloom is a yellow floral, this is clearly white. People also say it smells like Armani’s My Way or Alien, but they’d love that. Not even close. It’s animalic yet curious, clean, and sexy. Intoxicating. I don’t really notice the spicy notes. Let’s not fool ourselves; it’s expensive—the price for 30ml is outrageous and borders on immoral, but oh friend, it’s a delicate, feminine, fine, and divine perfume. An elegant bouquet of clean neroli. Perfect for a date, a wedding, or a special summer night…
Arrived today and I absolutely loved it. I bought it blind with a bit of hesitation because of the neroli note, which isn’t my strong suit. At first, when I applied it to my wrist, I was disappointed: I only smelled neroli and jasmine at full blast… but as the intensity softened over time, I fell so in love that I can’t stop sniffing myself. What a fine, delicate, and feminine scent. I adore it; plus, it lasted 6 hours with very little application. It’s a great perfume! This wonder lasts over 12 hours on skin and forever on clothes!!! 🖤
If there’s a tender perfume in my collection it’s undoubtedly Narcotic Venus. When I first sprayed it I felt a scent so sweet and floral like a bridal bouquet of white flowers; it made me feel warm and delicate. I bought it the day before my wedding searching for that special fragrance; what a surprise—I loved it!! You perfectly smell the jasmine and the nards; the most real natural nards and the jasmine my mother brings into the house. Without a doubt a beauty. The best compliment my husband gave me at the altar while listening to the priest was How nice your bouquet smells, and I replied No, love, it’s not the bouquet, it’s my perfume! and he loved it.
I completely disagree with the previous reviews. This smells like plain melon bubblegum. Have you smelled Fructis Hair Food shampoo with watermelon? That’s exactly what this smells like. Nothing more.
Narcotic Venus is one of the perfumes I’ve always wanted alongside Black Afgano and Pardon and it’s definitely the one that surprised me the most with its immense simplicity yet complexity regarding nard which is the flower Alessandro Gualtieri presents in his most hypnotic facet. With a white spicy floral profile Narcotic Venus opens with a powerful (and very true to its name) narcotic note of incredibly well-developed easily identifiable spiced nard alongside jasmine and lily. However in this perfume I can perceive many more ingredients than initially listed on Fragrantica such as narcissus violet and angelica which at times remind me of Tom Ford’s Jonquille de Nuit (the latter focused entirely on the narcissus note). In this composition spices play a secondary role accentuating the white flowers more. The perfume remains linear throughout its life but continues to maximize the performance of nard alongside other white flowers. The dry-down is where this perfume truly won me over as the jasmine begins to take center stage with the nard adding a slightly creamy quality. The more I smell it the more nuances I find and the more I fall in love. I’ve tried several nards but none are as characteristically multifaceted as this. While the Nasomatto line is often identified as more masculine Narcotic Venus is in my opinion entirely a proposal for women. I would always wear it with dresses as the handling of ingredients in this composition feels more suited for nighttime events parties romantic dates and intimacy. It’s perfect for Spring Autumn and Winter though in Summer the nard note can be quite overwhelming to the nose. The longevity is atomic; I can still detect it on me in the morning and in my bed after sleeping. The scent has lingered on my dresses for days (and even stained the fabric). With high performance keep in mind before buying your little bottle that given the price (and 30ml of extrait) there may be other options within this profile. (As a side note when I wore this to a night party I noticed a man couldn’t stop smelling me; I realized it because his breathing was too obvious—that’s when I realized the true seductive power of this perfume). This is undoubtedly one of the most seductive and purposeful perfumes I’ve ever smelled with a nard note and one of my signature perfumes for going out at night.
The moment I smelled Narcotic Venus I stepped back 20 years and thought of Carolina Herrera’s original. It’s an intoxicating deeply feminine perfume. It’s nard at dawn in its full glory.
Over time colors fade—not just the ones we see but the ones in our hearts. Walking through the old neighborhood feels like stepping into a dream where the sun and memories hit you all at once revealing a peaceful sky and a flowing river. My city is a contrast between earth and mountain gothic and modern vibrant and austere. While my companion gets soaked in Narcotic Venus this spicy-floral scent heavy with nard reminds me of rose; it’s outrageously feminine vintage yet modern all at once. It doesn’t evolve just changes volume over time. For those who love the classics it’s total attraction. It opens nearly mature full of flowers different from old-fashioned constructions. Longevity is moderate; I expected more for an extrait but it smells amazing on a woman’s skin potent indoors. It’s eccentric and smells great for the closet—not for everyone but if you like nard in generous doses give it a try.
The most romantic neroli, the sweetest, the most natural, to dress as a bride. More than Narcotic V, it should be called Narcotic Neroli. It envelops everything, floods everything. I imagine a woman at a business meeting with everyone around her narcotized by the perfume, rather hypnotized, nodding to all her proposals. A bride’s perfume, but also a boss’s perfume. High heels, straight skirt, white blouse, and black glasses. Longevity and sillage are enormous; I didn’t expect less for that price. It’s a jewel, outrageously feminine.

Very balanced white florals. Even though it mentions nothing sweet, it feels like there is; slightly sweet neroli and jasmine that evoke romance. On my skin, it’s very long-lasting, hours and hours, with moderate to high sillage; it always feels like it’s moving with me. A perfume a bride could wear on such a special day. Definitely its scent is narcotic.
(Tuberose lovers chapter 9) Narcotic V. is like a living sculpture of contemporary art. A tuberose soliflore that Alessandro Gualtieri has carved with mastery, smoothing out rough edges to create a narcotic and potent neroli, yet also luminous, light, and almost ethereal, with a subtle soapy air that keeps it away from dense, creamy nerolis that can sometimes be overwhelming. These NV nerolis seem freshly cut, fresh, with dewdrops on the petals. It’s less green and exotic than Carnal Flower, and less indolic and sweet than the legendary Fracas. I imagine it on the skin of someone with impeccable and minimalist style, walking on a Manhattan rooftop while the city shines. A discreet, vibrant, and captivating luxury.

Narcotic Venus. You have to give credit to Gualtieri or his marketing team for knowing how to name things. The name seems great for a feminine perfume, with tuberose and jasmine. With these floral notes and well-played musks, it offers a very pleasant and attractive aroma. I’d say it’s my favorite among women’s perfumes. The opening has a good explosion, not as out of control as sometimes with Gualtieri, with benzyl acetate and musks from the start, which fade gradually leaving a bit more trail as it dries. I like it, but I think there are more ‘narcotic’ jasmines and tuberoses for any Venus. Cheers.
What such good jasmine, please.
With this Narcotic Venus, I’m encouraged to write my first review. It seems like a delicious, elegant, and addictive perfume: a paradox of luminosity and almost obscene animality. A gem. It opens with an incredibly potent neroli, almost like rubbing against a bouquet of nardos and crushing the petals against the skin. As it dries, the scent lasts quite a while (especially noticeable in hair). That initial explosive neroli relaxes a bit, and the animal side comes out. It gives the impression that the perfume beats and breathes, occasionally offering intense bursts again. Super sexy yet incredibly elegant. Tremendously addictive.

I tried this white floral wonder and really liked it. It’s a perfect combination of neroli and jasmine. The jasmine is very present and persistent. I wish the neroli were a bit more potent, but it’s an excellent perfume with impressive quality. Fine, sexy, and elegant. I loved it 🙂

Narcotic Venus by Nasomatto is a masterpiece of white florals. It stands out for its sensuality and elegance, offering something different from the usual. There’s no doubt that NO ONE will be indifferent to it. The blend of neroli, jasmine, and lily of the valley with an animal touch makes it magical and incomparable. Each note intertwines to create a unique experience. Plus, its longevity is wonderful; it lasts all day, recommended for any floral lover seeking something exquisite.
I bought it blind and I’m so glad I did. Oh, what a beauty. I’m a lover of white florals, and this is the ultimate. Beautiful flowers, just right, with no acidity. I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist.
I love it; it’s a subtle, loving fragrance. Imagine a bouquet of white flowers walking toward the altar on a sunny day in Italy. Jasmine and harmony, nothing cloying. I want to wear it every day; it’s a marvel. The only downside is that it doesn’t leave a trail on my skin, which slightly detracts from its value.
