  • I just received it and it left me stunned. You don’t expect this from Nasomatto. I didn’t like it: it’s a very original scent, nothing I’ve smelled before, but it gets heavy due to that intense sweet and milky note. I catch the melon, but it’s like a melon soaked in a liter of milk. I don’t detect any lemon. It has that smoky aura, but it’s not actually smoky. Projection is lower than their other perfumes, but longevity is brutal (still going strong after 3 hours). Seems more for experimentation than for going out or work.

  • Conceptually original, but as a fragrance, it’s strange. It’s a green melon or cucumber fruit blend with an abstract white smoke and a faint milky sensation. It offers a luminous, enigmatic aura; easy to wear but hard to appreciate at first. It polarizes, and frankly, the price is excessive for such sporadic use.

  • R.de Lioncourt

Melon and cucumber scent with a milky, almost yogurt-like touch and a wink of white liquor, like vodka. Fresh and fruity without veering into tropical or citrus territory. Original and surprising: Gualtieri takes a risk with something the name and bottle didn’t promise.

  • Gonzalo Daniel

Broadly speaking, it smells like classic hard melon gum, the kind shaped like the fruit. But the aroma has a plastic and astringent quality that I find very unpleasant, even irritating. I knew it would be difficult, expecting to like it or at least be interested in it. None of that, I’m afraid.

Broadly speaking, it smells like classic hard melon gum, those hard ones representing the fruit. But the scent has a plastic and astringent quality that I find very unpleasant and irritating. I knew it would be difficult; I hoped I’d like it or at least be interested. Nothing of the sort, I’m afraid.

  • Smells like a sarcophagus with dust, mixed with dry ice, fruits, and a glass of milk about to go bad. It’s unique and mysterious, but it doesn’t take away from being horrible and complicated. I expected something else.

  • Rosajerry

Not tires, gunpowder, or melon. To me, it smells like mint or eucalyptus, black pepper, galbanum, and something sweet and creamy, without identifying a specific fruit. The result is strange: two simultaneous layers. A spicy, bitter base that reminds me of something plastic or just dry, topped with that friendly, milky, fruity sweetness. Original and addictive. That bitter, earthy undertone starts uncomfortable but becomes friendly, which makes it special. Edit: upon drying down, I notice white musk and ambroxan.

Not tires, not gunpowder, not melon. To me, it smells like mint (or eucalyptus, or mentholated patchouli), black pepper, galbanum, and something sweet, creamy-milky, without identifying a specific fruit. Strange result. Two simultaneous layers: a spicy and bitter base that recalls the plastic or something ‘dry’ (dry earth? gunpowder?), topped with that friendly, milky, fruity sweetness. Original and addictive, especially because of that bitter, earthy, spicy background that initially felt uncomfortable but becomes friendly, making the perfume special. Edit: At the end of the dry-down, I notice a mix of white musk and ambroxan.

  • Memoquique

Not bad, but it’s the one I like the least from Gualtieri, probably due to that milky touch. Plastic, melon, and caramel dominate; they smell like a new action figure straight out of the plastic. I assume that’s what the genius Gualtieri intended to interpret. Thanks to these masters who innovate and push limits, not just following trends. If you want to smell different in the heat, it’s an excellent option.

  • Full blast of classic hard melon gum. After a few hours, other notes emerge, but the opening is pure melon. High durability, over 8 hours, moderate sillage. Rich scent to enjoy. Recommended for heat. Rating 8.5-10/10.

  • alejandra garlo

The first time I smelled it, I got melon with earth; it’s strong, typical of the brand. I find it elegant, perfect for night, with a masculine touch. I sense caramel and sweet notes, very rare, like a gooey candy that smells like rubber. I love it, even though many find it horrible. Nasomatto makes perfumes that are hard to understand, which is why they call Alessandro ‘crazy’. It’s a beast: I wore it over 24 hours ago, took a shower, and it’s still noticeable. Don’t recommend buying blindly; it’s complicated to digest.

At first sniff, classic melon gum with earth, strong as the brand suggests. Elegant, perfect for night, with a masculine air. I detect caramel and sweet notes, rare, like a plastic sweet smelling of rubber. I love it; many find it horrible, but Nasomatto isn’t for everyone—they’re hard to understand, and Gualtieri is called ‘crazy’. It’s a beast: I applied it over 24 hours ago, took a shower, and it still smells. Don’t recommend buying blindly; it’s complicated to grasp.

  • This is my top two from Nasomatto. Fantomas is very curious because it smells different to everyone: to me, it’s sweet, plastic, milky, and creamy. Others say it smells like cucumber cigar, others like a glass of milk with cookies. In my opinion, it’s strange due to that plastic aspect, and caramel stands out a lot on my skin. Without a doubt, it’s one of my favorites; I’ve never smelled anything like it. I received compliments and harsh criticisms. Scent: 10/10, projection: 9/10, longevity: 8/10, compliments: 8/10.

Extraordinary fragrance. Gualtieri is creative and abstract; although structurally complex, it seems harmless. The opening is melon and earth, a delicious result. It changes on every skin; on mine, it comes out minty, light, without being overpowering. It’s addictive. Great for those looking for something different, creative, unconventional, yet enjoyable. For lovers of the special, you must try it. The olfactory experience is up to par.

  • The most versatile Nasomatto, with all due respect to Silver Musk. Fantomas retains the peculiar and charming aura of Gualtieri, being the one that deviates most from the norm (even from Orto Parisi) without losing that DNA. Fruity opening like juicy melon that dries down, smokes, and darkens. Ultra-versatile: day, night, winter, summer (except extreme heat). Not for very formal occasions due to that playful vibe. One of the best niche fragrances for olfactory memory and versatility. Lasts weeks on paper, more than Megamare, but not as much on my skin. Notes: Uniqueness ★★★★★, Longevity ★★★☆☆, Versatility ★★★★★, Presentation ★★★★☆, Value ★★★☆☆. Usage: Casual. Alternative: Silver Musk.

  • BassoProfumo

It simply smells like metallic and smoky melon. It’s atypical, disruptive, and original, but quite simple. It smells like something edible, like bubblegum, not so much like a perfume. It’s the antithesis of a classic aroma. Although it’s pleasant all the way through, I don’t see it as elegant, but super informal. The dry down is seminal.

  • BassoProfumo

Smells like metallic, smoked melon. It’s an atypical, disruptive scent, but very simple. Gives off an edible vibe, more like bubblegum than perfume. It’s the opposite of a classic: pleasant until it dries down, but super casual instead of elegant. The dry down is seminalis.

  • I don’t know where to start reviewing this. It comes out super sweet and synthetic, like a bag of gummy candies left in the sun, but then it shifts to a ripe melon without that wine-like note of over-ripe fruit. Just after and lingering is a rubbery smell, not tire rubber, but eraser-like, very sweet. The only thing is that I like it; it would be an incredible signature scent because no one smells like this. Worth it for all year and day, though extreme heat won’t suit it well. Lasts a long time. It’s more of an experience for life.

  • I don’t know where to start with this masterpiece. The opening is super sweet and synthetic, like a bag of gummy candies left in the sun, but then it shifts to a ripe melon without that typical wine-like touch. Afterward, it leaves a rubbery scent—not tire rubber, but eraser rubber, very sweet. The only thing I’ll say is that I like it; it would be an incredible signature scent because no one smells like this. It works all year and day, though extreme heat won’t suit it well. Lasts a long time. In short: it’s a lifetime experience.

  • Fantomas is like an elegant criminal: cunning, refined, and unpredictable. The contrast between sweet ripe melon and the dark, earthy notes makes it unlike what you expect. The best part is the subtlety with which they blend; nothing exaggerated, everything present. Over time, it becomes ethereal and changes every minute. Every time I wear it, it’s different: sometimes more fruity, other times more metallic. It’s never linear. For those seeking character and not afraid to break rules, it’s a jewel.

  • Franciscounam

Very hard to describe, because it’s more of an experience than a perfume. It smells like bubblegum, melon, and plastic. It’s sweet and mysterious, a fragrance that needs its own personality to shine.

  • Candycandy40

It smells like plasticized melon and Zippo lighter fluid. The opening doesn’t convince me, but as it dries, it reminds me of Orto Parisi Bergamot, probably due to the musk. Alexandro Gualtieri takes the crown with this; it’s nothing like what you’d expect from a perfume called Fantomas, the literary thief.

  • Melon dominates everything, a note I’ve never liked, mixed with plastic-like sweetness. Then comes the earthy, gunpowder note, which smells like Zippo lighter fluid. The melon lingers for hours after showering. I struggle to find when to wear it; for me, it’s an olfactory experience, not a perfume.

  • Melon dominates, and it’s a note I’ve never liked, accompanied by sweetness and plastic. Then the earthy and gunpowder notes appear, smelling like Zippo lighter fluid. The melon persists for hours after bathing. I struggle to find the right moment, so for me, it’s more of an olfactory experience than a perfume.

  • Smells like earth with mushrooms in a sealed plastic bag, a weird scent with a sweet, rancid touch. I don’t detect any melon notes at all.

  • Agus tino

It smells like earth with mushrooms inside a sealed plastic bag, a strange scent with a sweet, rancid touch. I don’t detect any melon at all.

  • Fantomas is fruity but nothing conventional. From the very first second, it smells different, with melon and candies, yet without being the typical sweet and agreeable scent; it has plenty of ambroxan and musk. It doesn’t seek to please everyone or go unnoticed. It’s a daring fragrance, for those who enjoy the unconventional and have character, not for those looking for something simple.

  • What a perfume! The opening is a wild mix of melon, caramel, and plastic, but it evolves into smoky and earthy notes over time. Wear it only when you really feel like it, as it’s not for everyone. Lasts about 8 hours with brutal projection. In short, my favorite—spectacular.
