An opulent fruity floral with a Houbigant chypre twist that reminds me of Femme Fatale. I can picture Kim Basinger in ‘9 ½ Weeks’ swaying her hips and seducing with every step. It’s sweet and intoxicating, featuring very suggestive plum and orange blossom, with a spicy carnation at the base. Vanilla, tonka bean, and cinnamon add a spicy kick throughout. There are no animalic notes; the sensuality comes from the liqueur-like fruits and finely spiced florals. The combination of plum, orange blossom, and mimosa is surprising—they blend perfectly. The incense is soft, letting the other notes shine without overpowering them. Nard contributes but doesn’t dominate. If you love the original Poison, you’ll adore this; they share similarities, but here the incense is more prominent alongside the fruitiness and that anise note. Rafinne gives more space to the florals and spices, approaching sensuality from an aromatic tone but with opulence without excess. The orange blossom is prominent, with a slight reminiscence of L’Origan, though personally, I don’t see them as similar. A beautiful perfume; this review is for the original Eau de Parfum, not the reformulation. It’s neither fully floral, oriental, nor fruity; it balances perfectly between all sides, which is why it’s a marvel. I love it!
