  Who said white flowers are ethereal and delicate? This one, while clean and almost bridal, is animalic, intoxicating, warm, and sensual. Absolutely ravishing. It’s a rich soliflore with nuances: fruity, sweet (with coconut), green, earthy, powdery… The best gardenia recreation I’ve ever smelled. What a shame Yves Rocher discontinued it. Now I only use it moderately so it lasts forever.

  I’m Argentine and the brand isn’t sold here. My sister-in-law let me try it, and I fell in love in Spain. I agree with Maeva: it’s the best gardenia recreation I’ve ever smelled! A perfume fanatic, but this one conquered me. I couldn’t believe it was already gone. Now I settle for an intense jasmine, but Pur Désir was one of a kind. I wish they’d relaunch it!

  The definitive gardenia. My mom still keeps 15 ml of this miracle, which only came in 60 ml bottles. It’s the best scent I’ve ever smelled. Too bad it’s out of production. It opens fruity with a commanding coconut note over a spiced base where the flower shines after 15 minutes. It’s not subtle, but not suffocating either. The trail is heavy if you apply more than 6 sprays, otherwise moderate and intense. Surprising for Yves Rocher: it still projects well after 6 hours.

  The best gardenia that has ever existed, hands down. Literally herbal and long-lasting. I could even smell the pistils. It was discontinued and I’ve been looking for it ever since. Tubéreuse Nue by Tom Ford or Un Matin d’Orage by Goutal are close, but Pur Gardenia delivered on its promise: pure, like having pockets full of petals. Perfect. If anyone finds it, please share!
