I already own Madeleine, which is my favorite: a sweet, powdery almond scent that lasts all day, something I’ve never achieved with that note. That’s why, being an iris lover, I tried Pluie Noire and must admit I’m a bit disappointed. It smells good—it’s a dry, non-sweet iris on fresh, woody, and spicy notes, but nothing powdery. However, I didn’t get that soul or the longevity of Madeleine; Pluie Noire lasts only 4-5 hours on my skin with very low projection from the start. Plus, I don’t find much originality, as there are many perfumes that smell the same. I know the quality is good, but it might not be for me… I have a decanter and will use it because it’s pleasant and easy to wear, but for special occasions, not for daily use. I’ll keep testing more from Parfumerie Particulière. Scent: 7.5, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 6, Versatility: 8, Originality: 6, Overall: 7
