The opening of Electric Wood is strange, creamy, and very woody. Amber appears right from the start with cedar and lots of ambroxan, leading to a musky dry-down. It handles the powdery iris well, and a background citrus note gives it that electric touch. It feels predictable but pleasant. Longevity is moderate and the sillage is light. I expected the sound of an electric guitar at a heavy metal concert, but it feels more like a ukelele with one string in a 2x2m room. Rating: 3.
I own a Gibson Les Paul Custom and know they have a specific smell, like woody vanilla. I’ve read it could be the lacquer, the case, or a mix of everything. This perfume smells exactly like that, especially when new. I didn’t know this brand until I read that the owner is a musician and the inspiration is a Gibson. As a perfume addict for 8 years, I decided to try it. The discovery set arrived and I tried Electric Wood first. It’s a wonderful cedar, bright and real, almost like natural wood. To understand it better: take the tip off a new pencil or sand cedar and add filler notes like on Fragrantica. It’s an excellent woody representation, but it doesn’t excite me at all or electrify me. Having it smell exactly like a Gibson is impossible. Discarded. P.S.: I detect ISO E SUPER.
If you like woody perfumes, this one is incredible. I’m not sure if it was inspired by a Gibson or another brand, but I perfectly understand where they’re taking us. It reminded me of a guitar or violin case, or even a luthier’s workshop. Without being purists, in my opinion, it’s an extraordinary perfume.

I’ve never played an electric guitar (my dad’s 80s Spanish one doesn’t count), but this scent takes me straight to a bar in my city hosting rock concerts and tribute bands. It’s like going to the best (or worst) pub where no one is over 50, but the music is great. It smells like resin, like a freshly tuned instrument in a closed room. It’s unisex and interesting, but the longevity is very short.

Great perfume from the house. Reminds me of By The Fireplace by Margiela, but it’s easier to wear, less heavy, with better projection and longevity. Although I doubt they share notes, this fragrance aims for the vibe of an electric guitar case. It’s a woody, amber blend with an iris touch that makes it super comfortable.
