Amouage Jubilation 40 Man is a woody-chypre fragrance for men. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. The top notes reveal blackberry, labdanum, blackcurrant, orange, rosemary, and angelica; the heart unfolds with frankincense, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, sweet acacia, celery seed, and rose; while the base notes settle with oud wood, opoponax, patchouli, myrrh, gaiac wood, moss, musk, cedar, ambergris, and cistus incanus.

What an incredible perfume, by God! I’ve been testing this beauty for 4 days and I’m totally hooked. The opening has a herbal note that lasts about 20 minutes, making it distinct from Jubilation XXV. Once it dries down, it’s much closer to XXV, but in this case, it’s significantly more resinous than the original.
Jubilation 40 is denser and more resinous than the original, but it keeps that captivating, distinctive, and commanding DNA that made it famous—the scent you imagine a millionaire wearing. Personally, I don’t think it’s better or worse, but rather serves as a great alternative if the original lacks performance, and of course, if you can afford the high price of this extrait format. Jubilation XXV is one of my favorite scents on this entire ‘perfume journey,’ and I believe this version deserves to be tried at least once. I love it—the fruity, oriental feel with a touch of herbal notes, full of mystique and depth. Undoubtedly, it’s a scent that sparks imagination. Rating: 10/10. Tested from an Amouage Discovery Set delivered by Scentxplore in 2023.

It’s a showstopper. One of my favorites this year. A total discovery.
I rarely go wrong with perfumes that are neither here nor there, and Amouage is usually the same. High quality, amber, resins, incense vibes, a touch of sweetness… wait. Oh, it smells like Coca-Cola. That’s the end. I’m logging off, celebrating. Next. There’s no fix. Amber needs a minimum level of sweetness to avoid running away, and here I’m not running, but I’m grimacing. Plus, it’s ultra-niche, allowing few compromises in versatility. So, Amouage, no match here. I go crazy for others, but this one gets a negative. See you later.
