Seems launched in 1982, strong citrusy opening, aldehydic, and lavender-forward. Super 80s vibe. In my opinion, the drydown is much better; the lemon softens and leaves a combo of lavender, tobacco, and a very subtle vetiver. Range: +40 years, summer nights. Edit: Hours later, it’s Halston 1-12.

I love it ❤️ It’s one of those fragrances that, even though I’m a fan of the original Paco Rabanne and Kouros, reminds me of the discontinued Charles Jourdan Un Homme. Only this Roger & Gallet version has tobacco notes. Fresh and strong, with 7 hours of longevity and moderate projection. I would have bought it blind instead of a decant. One of the best I’ve smelled this year and still available at a great price.

It combines maturity with something violent—something today’s youth couldn’t handle. To me, it’s incredibly rich and deep, with a mentholated touch I think is thyme. A perfume for few, and I’m one of those who enjoys reliving childhood as an adult over 40. I wear it at night, to enjoy lying down fresh from a shower, the true personal indulgence.
