Olympéa Flora by Rabanne

I have a huge collection and I always come back to this one. It’s fruity and juicy; at first, you get the blackcurrant and sorbet with that rich, acidic touch, and within minutes, the peony becomes more prominent than the rose. Every time I wear it, I get compliments. It lasts and projects well on my skin. Highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised. It came as a gift in a promotion along with the Olympea Solar, which was what I wanted, but I ended up loving this one even more. At first on my skin, it sounded like Angel Nova, but then the acidic fruit faded away and a wonderful fruity rose unfolded. It exceeded my expectations.

Pleasantly surprised! It’s a beauty for me. It lasted forever; I applied it at 1:30 PM on a quiet winter day and could still smell it the next day. It leaves an amazing scent on clothes (I washed and dried them, and it still smelled). Very happy with this fragrance.

I don’t know much about notes, but it’s an acquired taste. At first, it can be overwhelming and strong, but then you get addicted. It smells like powdered roses, like makeup from when you were young, with that slightly tipsy touch. It’s VERY fruity, like intense fruit juice (not overripe), mixed with rose and a touch of musk—that dry freshness of shampoo or hand soap. I wore it in full July in Argentina and ended up falling in love; it could be a great signature scent.

Like the Sun, I snagged this cheap during Hot Sale and tried it without knowing what it was. I had zero expectations. To me, it’s a dupe for Kriska Drama: it starts sparkling, fruity, and juicy with an acidic, mentholated twist, which is why it reminds me of Kriska. Then a rose comes out, making it more mature and elegant. It smells great, but watch out: don’t buy blind because that patchouli evokes equal parts love and hate 🤣

I picked it up cheap during the Hot Sale without high expectations, but it pleasantly surprised me, especially regarding longevity. My skin is special: fragrances others say last all day, like Good Girl, only last three hours on me. Olympea Flora was different. I applied it at 6:30 PM on my wrist and at 3:30 AM it was still detectable up close. On my skin, it smells like vanilla and roses, with a sparkling, feminine, luminous opening. The sillage is light to moderate, but the longevity was more than satisfactory.

It smells of roses and fruits, but not fresh and juicy ones—more like ripe ones about to go bad, with a pepper note that adds darkness. I don’t dislike it, but it didn’t surprise me; I’d tried it before and remembered it smelling very different. The worst part is the performance: it projects nothing and lasts max 3 hours, sticking close to the skin. It’s not bad, but I was disappointed because I expected more. I’ll stick with its little brother, Olympea Solar.

It’s incredible how it can be a flanker of LVEB, very similar. It was a blind buy, and of course, I didn’t like it because of the patchouli, which I thought wouldn’t be so invasive. I also sense something alcoholic, maybe that’s why people relate it to LNT. My sister said it smelled like an older lady’s perfume; if I translate that, it’s elegant, floral, and of a dated style. It has very little projection and trail for an EDP, and I don’t think it lasted 3 hours on me. It’s only worth it if you like the mentioned aromas and find it at a great price.

It’s a delicious perfume, a sweet fruity floral. I bought it when I was taking driving lessons and fell in love with designer perfumery all over again. This one drove me crazy when I smelled it, but what made me choose it was its moderate, non-overwhelming sillage. Being floral and fruity, I feel it’s a pleasant balance for any occasion (even sharing a car for half an hour). I loved it so much that it identified me as someone who buys it again. It’s the first designer perfume I’ve repurchased. I hope they don’t discontinue it because it’s exquisite, youthful, feminine, and perfect for daily wear. The bottle is very beautiful and the longevity is an 8/10. It projects 8/10 and has a medium sillage, but it’s worth it for being measured, restrained, just, and appropriate. I love it♡.💖💖💖💖💖💖

Hi, I absolutely love this Flora because I can’t stand the classic version. It’s enchanting if you like Tresor Nuit but find it overwhelming; this smells like a softer, less heavy version with a lower sillage. It smells like a sweet Malbec wine with hints of blue fruits and blackcurrants. Adoreeeee!

It joined my fragrance collection very recently. I agree with some reviews: the opening of blackcurrants gives me more of a juicy, tropical fruit vibe, like papaya or mango; it could be passion fruit too, I suppose it’s the mix of the sorbet and blackcurrants that creates that impression. At that point, it reminds me a bit of Nuit Tresor, thanks to those fruits and the patchouli. I also agree that it has a fairly mentholated heart phase, at least on my skin. The rose and peony aren’t fresh flowers here, but have very fruity nuances. The fragrance gets sweeter and sweeter due to the vanilla and patchouli. I don’t detect the salt at all. I tested it just once to comment on longevity, but initially, I didn’t feel it was as long-lasting or strong; it comes out very strong and drops in intensity quickly. I still need to test it for longer to see how it performs. I see it as an all-season scent, except for peak summer heat, unless it’s at night. It’s a sweet, fruity, rich, feminine scent but nothing new. It separates itself completely from the early Olympeas, just like Blossom and Solar. Don’t recommend buying blind.

It’s the younger brother of my beloved Olympéa Blossom. While Blossom is a beast compared to the normal Olympéa, this Flora hits almost the same spot. The difference is that Blossom is subtle and refined for everything, whereas Flora is heavier; its opening is super fruity and becomes cloying at LVEB levels. The shift is that in Blossom, the notes are in the heart and evolve into cashmere with a salty touch, but in Flora, you’re stuck with the sweet fruity vibe, which gets tiring. The longevity is brutal: over 10 hours of projection and lasting on the skin all day. If you like sweet scents, this is the one to choose over Blossom; if you want something special and less sweet, go for the original. It hurts that brands, with thousands of options, go for the safe route by making flankers of their favorites and end up creating flankers of flankers, just like many LVEB fragrances.

It’s nothing like the original: it smells of blackcurrants, rose, and patchouli, with a salty touch as it dries down and an exaggerated optimism. It doesn’t resemble any of the ones I mentioned above (and most of them aren’t my style anyway). This Olympea isn’t as sweet or commercial, which is probably why I liked it. Don’t buy blindly if you’re looking for a powerful, game-changing flanker like the others or the original.

It just arrived, and honestly, I expected more. I know it’s not for everyone, but with predecessors like the original, Intense, or Legend, which are masterpieces… Flora is a lovely fruity aroma with rose, but it already has plenty of competition.
