Descripción

Oh! The Origin by Tous is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Daphné Bugéy. The top notes combine tangerine, lemon, blackcurrant, and pink pepper; the heart reveals rose and lily-of-the-valley root; while the base settles on ambroxan, musk, tonka bean, and vanilla.

  • Well… it’s a fragrance made to please but not to excite, just to evoke sensations. It’s kind, smells of roses, and fades a bit into vanilla with ambroxan, which reminds me of spray air fresheners. It’s neither bad nor good; it’s more of the usual: no ideas, no risk, and made not to fail. Will it be liked? Undoubtedly. But it won’t be standout. It has an adult touch from the rose and a young one from the fruit and ambroxan. It’s daytime; nighttime seduction is too much for it. For a carefree and natural woman. Better to test it on skin; the performance is a bit weak.

  • I’ve never tried Tous Rosa, so to me the brand smells like generic, respectful, and unpretentious fragrances, even though the price tag is high. The concept is classic and dated, like dusty rose mixed with something fresh and modern: a clean opening with vanilla notes playing off heavy woods or spices. The bottle, which others didn’t mention, looks beautiful—simple yet substantial, with colors that evoke the past, more like a romanticized grandma’s vial with vanilla essence for the feet baking in the oven. I received it as a gift at work and I like it; it smells great on my skin, something that doesn’t happen with all the hundreds I’ve tried. But I wouldn’t buy it; at that price, I could get something that would leave me in awe and make me feel better, like Mugler’s Eternity Love. Still, I prefer it to bestsellers like Scandal or LVEB.

  • I didn’t know the Tous Rosa, so I thought their fragrances were generic and expensive without delivering. The concept is classic, dusty and outdated rose mixed with modern, fresh, and heavy spices. The bottle is beautiful, simple but heavy, evoking a grandmother’s vial with vanilla essence. I received it as a gift and I like it; it smells good on my skin, which doesn’t happen with many perfumes. But I wouldn’t buy it; at that price, I could get something that leaves me more amazed, like the Mugler Eternity. Although I prefer it to bestsellers like Scandal or LVEB.

  • At first, I thought I wouldn’t like it based on previous reviews, assuming it would just be another rose. It was quite the opposite, and I loved it! The opening is fresh and potent; the mix of berries and citrus is exquisite. Although it doesn’t last long, it’s worth it. Then a perfectly handled rose emerges, nothing overwhelming or outdated, thanks to the balance with vanilla. In the end, the rose becomes dustier and vanilla takes over. It’s super feminine, innocent, and delicate, like those compact powders from decades ago. Seduction depends on who wears it: I imagine a lady of ‘good standing’ escaping for a secret romance. It lasts 7 hours with a good initial sillage. Daytime, but ideal for a romantic night (my husband called it ‘syrupy’ haha).

  • MissOlores

I’m not an expert, but as others have said, it’s very easy to wear. It’s the typical kind you can gift because it doesn’t stand out too much. On my skin, it smells like sweet, clean, and creamy rose, perfect for after a shower in spring or summer. With 6 or 7 sprays, you’re ready for work or shopping. On clothes, it smells more like orange, probably due to pH. I think it’s pretty and tender, suitable for girls aged 20 to 40. It evokes feelings of Chloe.

I’m not an expert. As already mentioned, it’s a very easy-to-wear perfume, the typical kind you gift because it doesn’t stand out too much. On my skin, it smells like sweet, clean, and creamy rose, perfect for heading out after a shower (spring/summer), spraying 6 or 7 times, and going to work, shopping, or for a walk—daily things. On clothes, it leaves a more citrusy scent, clearly orange, hehe, due to pH. It seems pretty and tender. I could wear it perfectly whether I’m a 20-year-old or a 40-year-old. It doesn’t resemble Chloe, but it evokes similar feelings.

  • It’s an interesting piece I discovered two years ago with a sample. I tested it until an incredible deal came up (50% off), and I bought it. I haven’t worn it in every situation yet, but it always catches my attention. It opens with modern, clean, fresh, and cheerful roses, with a dusty touch. Over time, moss emerges as a co-protagonist, adding depth and darkness that contrasts with the floral notes. It’s strange that it’s not listed in the notes, but on my skin it’s very present, perhaps due to the tonka bean and lily root. Worth trying repeatedly.

  • It seems like a very interesting piece… I first encountered it almost two years ago with a sample vial sent with an order. I kept testing it until I found a super deal and bought it (at 50% off). I haven’t worn it in every situation yet, but it always has something that catches my attention. It opens like modern roses within the familiar—clean, slightly talc-like, fresh, and cheerful. Over time, moss appears on my skin until it becomes a co-protagonist, adding depth and darkness that plays in counterpoint with the floral-rose accord, revealing another side of the perfume. It’s strange not to see moss listed among the notes; on my nose, it’s very present, perhaps due to the combination of tonka bean, lily root, and ambroxan. I think it’s worth trying repeatedly until you know it well.

  • Divine, tender, and romantic. It has very cheerful and fun roses. I love it! It’s super cheerful.

  • It’s easy to forget and hard to wear. It smells like old, dusty rose, which is ideal for warm climates but ends up feeling heavy. I bought it blind for the price and because I’m a Tous fanatic, but I expected more. The bottle is classic with its gold cap and carved bear. Try it before buying.

  • I’m not an expert, but I absolutely adore Modern Muse Le Rouge, and this is my second favorite. It’s pure rose on rose; even when I apply a lot, it doesn’t bother me or anyone else. I bought it blind, it’s so relaxing, and it lasts about 8 hours. I’ll definitely be buying it again without hesitation.
