“Let him who is without sin…” I’ve been super critical of Andy Tauer. When news of this special edition broke, I laughed out loud thinking it was another marketing scam. And yes, it’s limited, pricey, and all over social media. But guided by my irrational side, I bought it to laugh at my own prejudices. I hate and love this guy: he has gems and others that are a shame, like Air or Heart of the Desert. I picked it up without knowing what it smelled like, but I adore his discontinued unknown compositions. I remember the linden blossom my mom used in spring; I only have one chypre rose saved like gold. I bought Nexin in case I missed another masterpiece. Is it worth it? No. Am I glad I got it? Yes. It didn’t excite me as much as others, but I like it a lot. Simple scent, modernized and calm fougère, with metallic and salty vetiver over amber. Fresh green notes and a very clean soapy-woody drydown. It deserves to be in the Tauer line at a reasonable price.

Finally got my hands on it! After a few days of wear, I can confirm this is a proper niche beast, not mass-market filler like LAYTON. It’s green, sparkling, and perfect for a flawless gentleman, just like its white, collectible bottle. If you dig oakmoss and vetiver, don’t hesitate: it’s a light version of both, perfect for all seasons. EDIT: As it dries, it becomes more woody with a sweet, elegant touch. Performance is EXP.

It’s a clean musk, floral, and slightly woody. It starts fresh but quickly transforms into something musky, soapy, and floral; you can definitely smell the ambergris. The drydown reminds me of those strange floral notes in Fleur du Male. Even the bottle is opaque and immaculate white, an undeclared homage to FdM?

La Dolida is super clean, floral with a very subtle citrus, and well-constructed. As it dries, it’s 90% Phalo Blue. Projection and longevity: beast mode.

What a fantastic perfume! A clean, balanced, and high-quality fougère. I could only get a decant, but if you can grab a bottle, don’t hesitate.
