Moss by Commodity

This perfume opens extremely citrusy, sparkling, quite sour, even feeling a bit sharp to me during the first hour. Oakmoss is a leading note and can be perceived from the very first minutes. The floral touch on my skin is barely noticeable, very very subtle. In the dry-down, as I say, the acidic part calms down quite a bit and you mainly perceive cedar, surrounded by citrus, now more subdued, really reminiscent of the dry-down of many other perfumes aimed at a male audience. In short: a green, citrusy, woody perfume that recalls a walk through the forest on a rainy day. Skin longevity around 6 hours with medium projection at first, then settling into a more intimate sillage. Truly unisex although I think it will appeal far more to a male audience. For us women I think there are other oakmoss perfumes that I think are better, much more feminine, such as, in the designer world, Chloe Nomade, or even more refined, in the niche world, Gris Dior. It’s not bad but it’s not something I haven’t smelled before or that I consider especially better done here than in other perfumes. I firmly believe similar options can be found for a better price, and therefore I would not recommend it.

Of all the Moss scents, this is the one I like the least. It’s very similar to Moss-, but that one is sharper, and this one is a bit soapy because of the orange blossom. This one has more floral character than the other two in the collection, and a touch of eucalyptus that almost gives it a spicy kick. The scent is still good, but I like the other Mosses more because this one smells like orange blossom sprinkled with black pepper.

I have in my collection (Discovery Kit) THE PORTFOLIO by Commodity. 15 different fragrances (15x2ml). Impressively beautiful fragrances and a super opportunity to get to know a new brand. Believe me, with fifteen scents there is plenty of room to explore. You can tell the product is quality. It’s already been a year and I’m still in the dance of fragrances. They open differently in each season of the year. Very soon I’ll highlight my favorites. In my opinion, these fragrances are for people who are not extravagant, and by the way perhaps minimalist, their sound is unique, different from other fragrances from other brands, fine, clean, clear with character but not monotonous. There is no heaviness, there is only a mood, then playful or thoughtful …..

I think it’s great. Soft and woody, with a very natural smell, I think it will be one of my daily scents. I really like Commodity fragrances in general, with Gold (white collection) being my favorite so far. As a woman, I find both the white and black lines easy to wear. If this is what the previous reviewer thinks a musty butthole smells like, he has some interesting olfactory perceptions going on. That’s putting it mildly.

It’s more unisex than Moss+, but still very masculine for me. At first, it’s fresh, citrusy, and spicy; over time, it smells more musky. I’ll be gifting it since it’s not for me, though it’s not bad for a guy. Out of all the Moss scents, the one most suitable for a girl is Moss-, but it doesn’t last long on the skin and has zero projection.

It lasts about 6 hours with medium projection that later becomes intimate. It’s unisex, but I think it suits men better. For us women, there are better options with oakmoss—more feminine ones like Chloe Nomade or more refined ones like Dior Gris. It’s not bad, but it’s not new to me and doesn’t seem better made here than elsewhere. There are similar alternatives that are cheaper, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
