Another lost gem from the 80s, crafted when Ralph Lauren truly ruled the perfume world. According to Fragrantica, it was discontinued in 1987, so owning this 7ml miniature is a real privilege. At first, it smells almost identical to One Man Show (sharing 10 notes), but cleaner, more refined, and better balanced—it’s basically the 2.0 version. The opening is powerful with classic lavender, a semi-smoky, long-lasting sandalwood, the mineral sweetness of benzoin, musk, and a fresh bergamot touch. Sometimes it reminds me of Nautica’s Latitude Longitude, launched 15 years later, evoking that trendy herbal shampoo scent of the era. As it dries down, it resembles Chanel’s Antaeus or Cartier’s Santos: woody, talcum-powdery, mossy, with a hint of vanilla, while keeping its green balsamic and amber base. After 7 hours, it’s still clinging to the skin with sharp clarity; the longevity is brutal. It projects an aristocratic sporty vibe, perfect for someone playing golf, tennis, or polo. Monogram is my favorite Ralph Lauren fragrance, a powerful example of American perfumery from that golden age.
