The top notes unfold a vibrant freshness with tea rose, tea, grapes, blackcurrant, and grapefruit. The heart of the composition reveals a warm, sweet florality thanks to honey, rose, hazelnut, baked apple, and saffron. Finally, the base notes offer a silky, woody foundation with amber, musk, milk, and patchouli.

I tried this Melos by Pernoire, a house I absolutely love and already own three of, but this isn’t one of my favorites. It smells to me like honey and peanuts, even though I know there are no peanuts in it; I have the same reaction with hazelnut. I barely detect the other notes. I’m not a fan of honey; that sweet aspect turns me off from start to finish. It’s original and surely has its audience, but it’s not for me. What does stand out is its trail, which is insane, and its longevity, which is beast mode, even better than others from the brand. I see it as unisex, maybe leaning feminine, and not very versatile, probably because the honey overwhelms me. I’d wear it in cold weather. Scent: 6/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection: 10/10, Price: 240€ for 50ml.
