My wife gave me several 30ml lotions yesterday on Christmas Eve, including Aeropostale Force and Maximum. Today, Christmas, at 16°C, I tried the latter with some skepticism since it’s the first time I’m trying this brand. Wow! I didn’t expect an unexplored brand to hit me with a scent sweeter than aquatic, without complexity; on the contrary, simplicity is its hallmark. Lasts about 6 hours with average projection. Works in any weather, I recommend it. By the way, Force isn’t on Fragrantica yet; I hope they add it so I can leave my review.

Aeropostale Maximum has a reputation for high prices, but if a perfume has lasting power, projection, and an effective scent, the result is predictable. This American fragrance offers a pleasant smell reminiscent of mentholated sunscreen, with fresh marine accords and an undeclared white floral sweetness. It’s creamy, fruity, simple, persistent, and very cheerful; although it seems unisex, it has sensual effects on men. It’s a bomb in every sense, lasting about 10 hours. Ideal for spring and summer, but in winter it feels warm, friendly, and sensual. If you find it at a good price, don’t hesitate to buy it.

This fragrance should be called ‘Minimum’: it’s barely noticeable once applied. It smells synthetic and peculiar, like an office scent—nothing intrusive and it doesn’t bother anyone. You literally need about 12 sprays to notice anything. It’s not unpleasant, but aromatically it falls into disappointing territory. Scent: 7.0 Sillage: 4.0 Longevity: 5.0
