I’m disappointed with the performance on my skin, and I can’t help but think it’s my fault that it doesn’t suit me, especially when other famous fragrances wear it so well. I don’t really love florals even when they’re present, so I won’t dwell on them. What does stand out is that animalic side, boosted by oud, cumin, and moss… I’m not 100% sure if the floral notes are jasmine and neroli, but I’d guess so. Ultimately, what leaves the biggest impression is that powerful animalic body that creates a strong opening.

I don’t love flowers even if they’re there, so I won’t highlight them. What does gain strength is that animal side, reinforced with oud, cumin, and moss… I’m not sure if the floral part is jasmine and neroli, I suppose so, but I’m not entirely clear. In the end, what leaves the strongest mark on me is that animal body that gives a powerful contour at the beginning.

Imagine that moment: handfuls of flowers falling, incense raining down, and oud? Yes, plenty of it, and we’ll be happy. I don’t believe the ending, but with Mandarava, I’m already content. It’s like stepping into a Buddhist temple with a magnificent floral offering that grows as you explore, and when you leave, you carry that distinct incense scent so characteristic of those sacred, respectful places. Should you try it? Absolutely. Will everyone love it? I don’t know. A great job by Lomros, a house that definitely makes my top five. I love traveling without even leaving the couch.
