I haven’t tried the original Bond N°9, but I have a decant of Wildcard from Game of Spades, and they smell almost identical—the opening is the same. The Maison Alhambra version is stronger and more alcoholic at first for about 30 seconds, but the scent is very similar to Jo Malone’s, which is a good dupe of Bond. It lasts between 5 and 6 hours, compared to the 6 to 8 hours of the GoS, which costs nearly four times as much. It’s a great option; I picked it up in Chile for about $20. Recommended.

I’ve never tried the original Bond N°9, but I have a decant of Wildcard from Game of Spades, and they smell almost identical—the opening is the same. Obviously, this Maison Alhambra version is stronger and more alcoholic at first for about 30 seconds, but the scent is very similar to Jo Malone’s (which I know is a great dupe of Bond). The longevity is 5 to 6 hours, compared to the 6 to 8 hours of the GoS, which costs nearly four times as much. It’s a great option; I picked it up in Chile for about $20. Recommended.

  • To start, it smells terrible. The scent is exactly like WD-40 (that multi-purpose lubricant sold in Chile); I don’t know if it’s the same in other countries, but it’s copied and it’s disgusting to think you’d wear something like that as perfume.

  • First of all, it smells terrible. The scent is exactly like WD-40, that cleaning lubricant sold in Chile. I don’t know if it’s the same in other countries, but here it’s a knockoff and it’s disgusting to think you’d wear that as a perfume.

Yes, it’s a clone of Jo Malone Wildcard. If this doesn’t work for you, forget about Luxe Street entirely. It’s not like Wildcard lasts forever either—many people complain about that. And we should demand Maison Alhambra match the longevity if we’re paying only 1/4 of the price? I wanted to buy Wildcard at a perfume store (but due to the hype, it skyrocketed in price and is now out of stock), so I tried the rest of the brand. The salesperson told me if I wanted to know how Wildcard smells, I should try Luxe Street, and it completely overshadowed the others. To me, it smells more Swedish and balanced, letting you feel the variety of notes. The bottle is gorgeous, breaking away from the classic look. It would be good to let it air out and see how the longevity develops. Scent 9/10 Price 10/10 Presentation 10/10 Longevity 8/10

True, it reminds me of my beloved Sculpture but with a more floral touch. I’d say it’s more unisex thanks to that floral side; I don’t see it as a 100% men’s perfume; if a woman wore it, you’d think it was feminine too. It works great on my skin. I need to let it macerate to check its longevity, but it looks like it’ll last about 7 hours. I’ll edit again later.

I absolutely love the DNA of Lafayette Street. I started with a decant of Wildcard, which is no longer available in Chile and got a price hike due to the hype, so I looked for a similar scent. Nervous about trying this new line from MA—they sometimes drop gems and other times trash—but they nailed it here. It keeps the DNA fresh, masculine, and clean, like a quality aftershave but more affordable, stripping away the heavy hormonal charge of Wildcard that gave me headaches. The solution: keep it in your bag and reapply every 3 or 4 hours. It cost me $20 and lasts all day without giving me a headache. Totally recommended.

Happy to go with the first Street Luxe review from Maison Alhambra. I must say, I’m a lover of the Lafayette Street DNA. I started with a decant of Wildcard, ran out, and now that fragrance is super scarce in Chile and the price has skyrocketed due to hype, so I needed a similar option. Nervously, I jumped into this new MA line, which sometimes drops incredible perfumes and other times terrible ones, so the odds were extreme. Thank God, they did a great job with this scent; it keeps the same fresh, masculine, clean DNA, reminiscent of a high-quality aftershave, the same vibe but slightly toned down, like they took the hormones out of Wildcard and made it more wearable and lighter, which I appreciate since the high ambroxan load and strength of Wildcard gave me headaches a couple of times (even though I loved the perfume). The solution here? Keep the perfume in your bag or backpack and reapply every 3 or 4 hours; it cost me $20 in my country, you can wear it all day if you want, and it doesn’t hurt. Totally recommended.

Did you see that meme of the four Spider-Men pointing at each other? Well, in this case, it would be: Montale Wood & Spices, Nikos Sculpture, Dunhill Desire, and this perfume (not counting others). Same formulas and scents, just packaged in different bottles with different prices. Open to interpretation.

  • People who say it smells like WD-40 are the same ones who claim Imagination smells like detergent or Layton like Vicks. It’s an absurd exaggeration that distracts you from having a realistic opinion. The point is simple: if you’ve tried Wildcard, it’s very similar. It’s easy to say there’s a 90% similarity with a different nuance when you wear them together. In performance, at first, I’d say Wildcard lasts a bit longer, waiting to see if it matches once macerated. But even so, it doesn’t hurt to reapply midday, especially since this Luxe costs less than a third. If you like that vibe, it’s a great option.

Exquisite, with that YSL vibe. Extremely masculine, light amber, fresh, and present. The longevity is acceptable and the price is insane. An incredibly rich perfume, a great work by Maison Alhambra. I can’t imagine how amazing the Bond Lafayette Street will be; if this is good, the other one must be a sensory masterpiece. 10/10. Bravo, MA.

Quick review this time: Nikos Sculpture, Montale Wood & Spices, and this Street go hand in hand. I’m mentioning these because that’s what I own, though people say Bond and Game of Spades are the same story. As far as I know, everything started with Nikos Sculpture. Try before you buy. Cheers.

Hey, I’ll keep this brief: Nikos Sculpture, Montale Wood & Spices, and this Street scent go hand in hand. I’m listing them because that’s what I own, even though they say the Bond and Game of Spades share the same story, it all started with Nikos Sculpture. Try it first, always. Cheers.

  • Honestly, it smells identical to Lafayette; it has the same DNA. The bad news is it doesn’t last long; after half an hour, it’s skin scent, and by two hours, it’s gone. Wildcard is still the best.

This perfume is a gem! Don’t waste your time on the Jo Malone Wildcard for $65 that lasts nothing. This Street Luxe at $25 actually lasts longer than the Wildcard. Highly recommended.

  • Beautiful fragrance, fresh and super clean. On my skin, it has pretty good longevity—not a beast, but still very nice for me. It feels floral.

I thought this would be a men’s or unisex fragrance, but to me, it smells like a lady’s perfume from the 90s or 2000s. I went along with the hype and ended up with a huge letdown.
