I’m surprised there are so few reviews. L’Oudh hits you hard at first—a bold, dark rose with character, a bit dirty but not off-putting, paired with labdanum and saffron, backed by frankincense and oud. Soon the rose shyly retreats behind the oud and frankincense, which take the show for about three hours, before the rose returns with a vengeance, dancing until the very end on a base of cedar and sandalwood. It’s truly three-dimensional and curious; when you think it’s gone, don’t be fooled, it’s still there, noticeable to others and then to you too with even more intensity. It reminds me of Oud Ispahan or Oud Touch by Franck Olivier. Performance is spectacular (over 24 hours on skin, like a tattoo). If it triggers anyone’s allergies, they might feel like they’re on a spaceship, but it depends on personal taste. The frankincense is exquisite. In my opinion, it’s unisex (flowers and fruits are universal). Highly recommended to try it before buying blindly, because as they say, to each their own.
It’s a perfume that will definitely get you compliments. I love it and it lasts all day on my skin and clothes, even several days.
