When I see this… I feel so happy to have an old bottle saved!!!
Here it comes! They didn’t throw it in the trash like the forums rumored; they just changed the bottle and I suspect there were some tweaks, but the notes are identical to the original from ’99.
Ugly bottle, let’s wait and see if the scent changed compared to the original; there are many different notes…
Today I tried this ‘new version’ and I just say it smells exactly like the old one… but it doesn’t project or last as before.
I bought it yesterday along with Fahrenheit… Maybe I don’t have an ‘olfactory memory,’ but I already remember it just like the 1999 version. I’ll tell you about the longevity when I wear it. I love it!!
Few words: another sad copy that smells the same but fails on longevity and projection. A chance for lovers of the old version before prices skyrocket to the moon, like a movie with the color and sound turned down. Try it and decide for yourselves; it’s a pity something so beautiful ends up like this.
As an owner of a previous version (maybe even vintage), here’s my take: 1) The reformulation isn’t that bad; you lose some great nuances, but the idea of an enchanted forest with fairies remains. It’s a bottle that barely costs €40 in the worst-case scenario (I’ve seen vintage ones go for around €150). I don’t think there’s enough difference to justify that price hike. 2) To those complaining: it’s a shame, but I’ve had the same bottle for 5 years and haven’t repurchased because I use it more intimately. I mean, brands have to sell; they don’t live on forum opinions. They’ve made a more wearable, affordable, and marketable version. By the way, longevity and projection are the same as previous versions; I only notice differences in scent depth. Let’s not exaggerate, because we’ve seen worse reformulations with sky-high prices: Dior Homme, Kouros, Homme Nuit, Opium, Egoïste, Givenchy Pi, Le Male… and I’ll stop there.
It’s true it doesn’t surpass the ’99 version, but it hasn’t lost its essence; the scent is almost identical to the first, though it lacks the same longevity and sillage. Still, it leaves many sighs in its wake.
True, it’s not better than the 1999 version, but it hasn’t lost its soul. The scent is almost identical at first, though it doesn’t last as long or leave as much of a trail. Still, it leaves many sighs in its wake.
It resembles the original, but in my opinion, it smells a bit more modern. The previous version also didn’t excel in longevity or projection.
It smells like a fairytale, as if straight out of a children’s book. It carries that rich aniseed candy scent from those little ‘almohaditas’ pills. Perfect for your girlfriend; it hits the right note. Don’t think it’s subtle just because you don’t smell it; it definitely projects. It’s ideal for wearing behind the neck in winter to create a magical atmosphere.
It’s a fairy tale perfume, like it just stepped out of a children’s book. Smells like anise candy from those little ‘almohaditas’ pills; it’s rich and perfect for your girlfriend. Don’t say you don’t notice it until you try it; it’s meant to be sprayed behind the neck. In winter, it’s spectacular and creates a magical atmosphere.
It’s not generic and stands out with personality, yet it’s a pleasant and uncommon scent. Definitely worth trying.
A candy turned into perfume. Just smelling it transports you to country fairs: cotton candy, glazed almonds, caramel apples, anise balls… Places of laughter, families at the rides, trying your luck at the raffle, the kid hunting for a plushie for his girlfriend, or the guy trusting in the cork shotgun. That’s it. This perfume is happiness.
A candy made into perfume. The moment you sniff it, you’re transported to those small-town fairs with cotton candy, candied almonds, caramel apples, anise balls… places of laughter and joy, families at the attractions, trying your luck at the raffle, the kid trying to win a plushie from the bride with the darts, or the one trusting the cork shotgun. That’s it. This perfume is happiness.
What a pleasant surprise with this Lempicka Home—it’s the scent of tranquility, with every note perfectly balanced. It smells beautiful, especially at first: fresh, restrained citrus, slightly warm (I love the licorice), delicate, and light. By the end of the hour, warmer notes like rum emerge, but it’s not a loud rum; it’s sweet and soft. In my opinion, it can be worn during the day or for special occasions. One reason I bought it was the price (only 30 euros) and that it’s vegan and chemical-free. The longevity is amazing—6 to 7 hours on the skin and lasts days on clothes. It’s sweet but soft; for me, it could be unisex, though it has that masculine touch from the rum, vanilla, and cedar. It works great on my skin and I love it… it’s the perfume of happiness and peace.
I find it quite childish (12-18 years old). It’s super pleasant, of course, it’s basically a candy made into perfume.
Very good fragrance! Sweet, sweet, and very soft—it’s a Le Male vibe but happier, like a candy for younger ages or for anyone who thinks Le Male is too mature. Nothing invasive; you could empty the bottle and it won’t bother anyone. Super unisex masculine.
So, anyone who says it’s similar to Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef has never smelled this perfume. Lolita Lempicka is fantastic: licorice, wood, and freshness. It’s a delicious fragrance with a unique character that you’ll love if you’re into this type of scent.
Major letdown. I own several Lolita Lempickas, both men’s and women’s, and I like them because they’re unique, but this smells just like Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier, only sweeter. After five minutes, it’s just Le Male, softer with less projection.
Hi everyone. I bought it recently, though I already knew about it. It smells amazing! It comes out a bit alcoholic, with rum and absinthe notes; the latter is done really well since I know the drink, haha. I find it fresh, and the sweetness isn’t too strong for me. It’s quite flat, which I don’t mind. Anise and almond notes with well-balanced florals. There’s a bitter touch and woody base. Very versatile. I recommend trying it! Sillage, projection, and longevity are moderate. For the price, it’s a great deal.
A super delicious fragrance that really turns heads.
It smells intoxicating and very personal, though also a bit cheesy—like a 90s pimp. It’s a good kind of cheesy, but I don’t think everyone can pull off the look it suggests. The risk is that many get stuck on the caramel note and only smell like vape juice, ignoring the herbal elements, especially since those fade over time and only the simple caramel remains.
Very intoxicating and with personality, but also a bit tacky; it evokes a 90s pimp. But it’s a good kind of tacky; I don’t think everyone will pull off the aesthetic it proposes. There’s a risk that many will get stuck on the candy note and perceive a vape smell, overlooking the herbal aspects, especially because over time those fade and only that simple candy remains.
Does anyone have this? How does it smell on a woman?
I sprayed it on blotting paper at the perfumery (my arms were already covered with other fragrances), put it in my pocket, and forgot about it. At home, I retrieved the paper but couldn’t remember what I had sprayed 😅. Thanks to the notes search, I found it… For my nose, the anise stood out a lot, a sweet anise very similar to the alcoholic beverage (Anís del Mono in Spain, unmistakable). I don’t know why, but I really like it. Next time, I’ll have to try it on skin to see if it keeps that note 🤞.
It’s an EDT, a cologne with a wonderful aroma of licorice, anise, and absinthe (that super-strong, highly alcoholic French liqueur, dry and anise-flavored, which bohemian Parisian artists in the late 19th century drank to get inspired, accompanied by little cannabis cigarettes). It’s one of the few designer men’s perfumes with these notes. Original, sweet, fresh, super-versatile, and totally unisex, no matter how much they sell it or say it’s for men. It’s affordable and charming. It’s the cousin-sister of the sadly discontinued Au Masculin, which was more potent, lordly, and long-lasting. In niche with good performance, this could perfectly be a bomb for 250 euros or dollars. The old Lempicka Homme from 2018-19 was never a beast in aroma, longevity, or sillage, but at least it gave you your 6-7 hours without issues. This current Lempicka Homme (2022-23) lasts me 3 hours. Full stop. Great perfume for daily activities, weekdays, work, university, evening hangouts… Just wear it well without overwhelming or drawing too much attention. It falls a bit short for going out at night or hitting on people in clubs; it’s too soft. I see it as totally unisex for current tastes, even leaning slightly feminine. Unfortunately, my friend perfumer, I think they reformulated it downward and softened it so much that unless you find a batch from 2019-20 or you don’t spray it at least 10 times within half an hour, you’ll barely notice it anymore. That’s life. I picked it up at Primor in 2022 without knowing anything, just that it smelled of licorice and anise, notes that really attracted me. I like it, but I only use it to be at home. It gives me inner peace and a good vibe. But it’s a cologne aromatized with licorice and anise, not an EDT as it should be. What a pity. The house Lolita Lempicka, unfortunately, after discontinuing all its men’s fragrances (note, some very good ones) from the Au Masculin saga and leaving the L.L. Homme like this, having only two fragrances in the men’s segment, this one and Green Lover (which in my opinion isn’t bad, it has a bit better performance and is fresh and youthful, though not enough to launch rockets), is really going downhill in terms of perfumery. I don’t know how their women’s fragrances are doing nowadays where they have a bit more stock, but I don’t imagine or expect anything good. What a shame, because this house rocked a few years ago; it was bold, innovative, youthful, and very modern. Let’s see if it bounces back in the near future. Let’s cross our fingers.
Unisex-leaning masculine. I’m sorry, but I mostly smell licorice; it’s very balanced and sweet, just the right amount.
Le Male toned down and powdery with an extra kick of anise. It feels unisex and I didn’t like it. In Argentina, Código Giesso smells very similar to this. 4/10, boring.
It’s like a discounted, dusty Le Male with an extra kick of anise. I find it unisex, but I didn’t like it. In Argentina, Código Giesso smells very similar to this. 4/10, boring.
Right out of the bottle, it’s an overpowering licorice note that almost drowns out everything else. As it dries down, other nuances emerge, but they stay firmly in that anise and herbal territory. I think if it had a few more masculine notes to complement that licorice, it could have been a classic gentleman’s fragrance from the 40s or 50s. But since they’ve tamed it down, it’ll appeal to people with a touch of ambiguous sophistication. Definitely not something to buy blindly. It’s original, but it felt a bit one-dimensional to me. And in terms of performance, it doesn’t seem to last very long.
It’s sweet, the opening a bit strong; if you reapply too soon, it might become overwhelming. I find it delicious but… I like it yet it scares me a bit. I think it needs to be used in moderation. I feel it’s unisex and I’m not sure if I’d buy it again.
Just bought it; upon spraying, you notice the anise and licorice, and as it dries down, rum and vanilla appear. The opening is strong and I love it. I think it works well for cold or mild climates, not for heat because the sweet notes get overwhelming. The anise reminds me a lot of Armani Code—I’m not saying they’re the same, but that note is there. I’d recommend it for men 25 and up. As for longevity, I can’t say much since I’ve only worn it for half an hour.
Smells like anise caramel, a good option if you like that aroma.
I’ve loved it since I smelled it years ago, especially that licorice and anise scent that reminds me of Armani Code. Before, I only had two or three perfumes and couldn’t afford more, so I never bought it and kept it for later. Now I’ve finally added it to my collection. I love it; it feels fresh and delicious, especially the anise. I love anything with star anise, and this couldn’t be any better. It lasts quite a while and has a nice trail. For me, it’s one of my favorites since I bought it.
Second review from me, from this perfumery house called Lolita Lempicka, and this time it’s Lempicka Homme. The fragrance opens with a potent licorice scent, wonderful and bold, which combines with the anise giving it a very masculine touch. Its projection lasts about thirty minutes before stabilizing. After that, in my humble opinion, it becomes a bit powdery and slightly boozy, but that doesn’t hurt it; quite the opposite. The longevity is correct, around six hours, and then it sits close to the skin. In my opinion, it’s for intermediate seasons, autumn and spring, where you’ll get the most out of it. It can be used day or night. It’s very versatile and behaves well in any situation. As for age, I’d say over thirty-five. In short, a very correct masculine fragrance with good projection and longevity, very masculine and versatile that won’t leave you looking bad. Cheers.
Second time with Lolita Lempicka and it’s Lempicka Homme’s turn. Opens with a potent licorice note that blends with anise, giving it a very masculine touch. The projection lasts about 30 minutes before settling; then it becomes a bit powdery and boozy, but that suits it well. On my skin, it lasts around 6 hours and then becomes a skin scent. I wear it in autumn and spring, both day and night. It’s super versatile and wears well in any setting. For me, it’s for men over 35. In short, it’s a masculine fragrance with good projection and longevity, versatile, and you won’t look bad in it. Cheers!
