Tested this afternoon: new flanker of La Nuit de l’Homme. Two sprays before lunch smell like leather and herbs (bergamot), darker than the original. After 20 minutes, right before the main course, the patchouli shines with the freshness of vetiver and the sweetness of tonka bean; it’s gorgeous. After two hours of dinner, it’s almost gone from the skin. Maybe it’s my pH, but it doesn’t last long on me: test before buying.

Not bad. Very masculine thanks to that good leather touch; tonka harmonizes it with citrus and cardamomo for nice phases. It’s not love at first sniff, it needs time to settle. It has the DNA of L’HOMME but improved, with better sillage and longevity; it feels more nocturnal year-round. For assertive men, not excessively poetic. PS: I’m not a fan of YSL in this family because only ULTIME makes me swoon, but this one is good.

Not a bad perfume. Very masculine thanks to that strong leather note; tonka harmonizes it with the citrus and cardamom for great phases. It’s not love at first sniff—it needs time to settle. The DNA is L’Homme’s but improved, with more noticeable sillage and longevity. To me, it feels almost entirely nocturnal, suitable for most of the year. For men who are very confident, not overly poetic. P.S.: I’m not a fan of this family from YSL because only Ultimate gets me going, but I think this one is decent.

  • I tried it today on skin. At first spray, it reminded me of CH Men Privé without the whiskey, and as it dried down, it felt like the first stage of Fahrenheit Parfum, which is curious. A difficult scent for me; I wouldn’t recommend it blindly. It’s rough, but definitely quite masculine.

  • What a shame L’Oréal does with its icons; this doesn’t even reach the heels of Nuit de l’Homme in its early years. On my skin, it smells like paraffin, just like Fahrenheit. If you’re looking for something new, switch it up, but if you want something similar to Nuit, I recommend Poker Face by Ted Lapidus—the real lost brother.

  • This was my first leather-scented purchase. It exudes mystery, sensuality, and warmth—a proper oriental. It opens with a well-balanced grapefruit note accompanied by lavender and cardamom. As the spicy notes settle, leather, sandalwood, and vetiver take over, reminiscent of a new leather jacket in a smoky room, with that fresh green vetiver touch. That’s the vibe for almost its entire life. After a couple of hours, as it fades, the sweet base of tonka bean and patchouli lingers, wrapping you in a warm halo. I’d wear it year-round, but only at night. Performance is solid: lasts many hours on skin and clothes, around 8. Projection is more modest, about 2–3 hours with 7 sprays. It projects an image of an attractive, mysterious person. Perfect for parties, provided you’re dressed sharply.

  • It was my first purchase looking for leather notes. It gives mystery, sensuality, and warmth: a proper oriental. Opening with well-placed grapefruit, lavender, and cardamomo take the lead as soon as you spray. Then, when the spice calms down, the leather, sandalwood, and vetiver emerge: like a new leather jacket in a smoky room, with that green and vibrant touch from the vetiver. That’s almost the whole life of the perfume. After two hours, as it dissipates, the sweet base of tonka bean and patchouli remains, having wrapped the fragrance in a warm halo. I’d wear it all year, just at night. Performance is correct: lasts many hours on skin and clothes (8h), but projection is modest (2-3h with 7 sprays). It conveys attraction and mystery. Ideal for parties, but best worn well-dressed.

A remarkable fragrance since it launched. Without overanalyzing it, I’d say it’s wearable for any occasion, except extreme heat. 10/10.

Notable from the start and throughout the development. Without analyzing it in depth, it’s a fragrance for any occasion, except extreme heat. 10/10.

  • Spectacular. I don’t understand how they have a rating near 3; is something wrong with their noses or are they just looking for caramel scents? I wear it for dates or with a leather jacket, it’s very elegant.

  • Spectacular. I don’t know how they rate that note so low; is something wrong with their noses, or are they just looking for caramel scents? I wear it elegantly, for dates, or with a leather jacket. 10/10.

  • How hard is it to review something that gives you goosebumps? It awakens sensuality and the urge to smell it over and over with a sigh of pure pleasure. It’s leather wrapped in the sexy cardamomo from the collection, refined by lavender, sweetened by tonka, and creamy sandalwood. A magical composition that messes with your hormones.

I love La Nuit de l’homme, but not this one. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind… it has that Fahrenheit vibe, nothing like what I was expecting.

  • It’s a tough one to pin down, but once you get it, you’re hooked. Powerful, full of character, and lasts long enough to keep you going. It’s that leather with a bit of a kick, yet it wears well; it exudes class, sensuality, and masculinity with a mysterious edge. Pure showstopper.
