  I don’t know what Issey Miyake does with their perfumes. Even though creations like this seem simple on the surface—basically peony with fruity notes, mainly pear and a bit of raspberry—they achieve something almost ethereal. Super feminine and versatile, yet elegant. Clean enough but sweet enough. It’s an intimate scent lasting about 4-5 hours on my skin. In short, a super simple peony scent that’s incredibly well-constructed.

The fruit makes it sparkling, yet it doesn’t feel synthetic. It’s not overpowering, but it lingers with every movement and lasts about 8 hours on me. It’s exquisite: feminine, sweet, and floral without being cloying—a fresh fruity sweetness with just the right amount of flower. There’s a sensual undertone, perhaps sandalwood, that makes it truly unique.

It’s not overpowering; you catch it with every movement, and it lasts about 8 hours on me. It’s gorgeous: sweet and floral without being cloying, with a fresh fruity top and a sensual base, maybe sandalwood, that makes it unique.

  Exquisite. I just tried it on a sample and I think I’ll buy it once my beloved Idole by Lancôme or Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel runs out. It’s that style: fresh floral, sweet, and elegant. It reminds me of Chloé EDP, only Chloé feels more like a fragrance for a girl aged 18 to 25, very ‘pampered princess’ who gets everything, including her first car at 18, haha… This Issey Miyake is much more elegant and formal, perfect for a woman over 30 who works and buys it for herself without waiting for gifts. Sparkling, feminine, and delicate. Very lovely.

  What a lovely scent 😍. The peony and sandalwood give it a very tender, cozy vibe. It doesn’t bother anyone; it’s pleasant and delightful. I absolutely loved it, especially since the first version didn’t quite convince me before.

  Without a doubt, the peony is the star. I detect a candied pear and a hint of raspberry that fit perfectly. The sandalwood adds a velvety softness to everything. It’s intense; I think it could be a bit overpowering. Edit: More than 24 hours after trying it, my jacket still smells strong (and I didn’t spray it on the fabric, only on my skin).

  L’Eau d’Issey Pivoine is a fragrance of contrasts: I adore the notes separately, but together they overwhelm me. The peony comes out strong with an aquatic touch that almost drowns out the pear, which promised juicy freshness but ends up barely hinted. That heavy floral load gives me a sense of weight, with a slight dizziness and a burning sensation at the back of the throat, as if the perfume leaves no room to breathe. It’s elegant and well-made, but I appreciate it more from a distance than on my skin.

That floral charge feels a bit heavy and leaves a burning sensation in my throat, like it won’t let me breathe. It’s elegant and well-made, but I prefer it from a distance rather than on my skin.
