You need to love earthy perfumes like Cabochard or Magie Noire to enjoy this Patchouli because it’s exaggerated and penetrating. Its beauty lies in creating a very interesting, mysterious, and magical atmosphere. Patchouli has something that draws you in through countless natural, forest-like nuances where you feel like exploring. Use sparingly because the intensity can be overwhelming. Great for layering with other perfumes to add a dark woody depth.
Ordered from MyOrigines and it was a total fiasco: either it’s a bad clone or it’s gone bad—it smells like rot. They claimed it smelled like a forest, but it’s nothing like that. I don’t know if it’s the bottle or if, since the store doesn’t take responsibility, I can’t return it to try another one. A complete letdown.
