What a great perfume… I was blown away when I put this on. It’s an ode to amber, patchouli, sandalwood, and labdanum, super vanilla and creamy. It embraces you and doesn’t fade in more than 10 hours. You wake up and smell it very strongly. Earthy, smells like wet earth from morning dew and woods. A masterpiece if you like earthy patchouli with a sweet, chocolatey twist. Reminiscence is a French house not 100% dedicated to perfumes, but they do things very well, at least this one. Better patchouli scents? Surely, but this round? I don’t think so. It has out-of-this-world performance.

Super creamy and warm, it embraces you and lasts at least 10 hours. You wake up and notice it clearly. Smells like wet earth from morning dew and woods. Patchouli bomb unisex from Reminiscence. Although the house changes names and bottles, Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli, Patchouli Elixir, and this Le Patchouli Élixir are basically the same scent: a patchouli/amber combo very similar to Montale’s Patchouli Leaves, which smells almost identical. It’s linear, with a minty, earthy, and warm patchouli thanks to labdanum. Maybe slightly more powdery than Montale’s, but very similar. If you already have Patchouli Leaves or other amber patchoulis, this release will be redundant. If you don’t own any and are looking for patchouli as the star, buy whichever is cheaper since the scents are very similar. The longevity and sillage are excellent, and I see it as ideal for cold climates. A must-try for patchouli lovers.
