This is a delight with all the freshness of lavender fields. If you want a peaceful night’s sleep, apply it before bed and you’ll see; just thinking about it makes me feel calm and relaxed. Highly recommended.
This fragrance is a delight; it has all the freshness of lavender fields. If you want a peaceful, tranquil, and wonderful night’s sleep, apply it before bed and you’ll see. Just thinking about it makes me feel peace and relaxation. Highly recommended.
Perhaps the best lavender I’ve tried so far, beating the classic ‘English Lavender’ by Yardley. It doesn’t equal Atkinsons, which I still consider the king of the genre and a true classic of men’s perfumery (even though they label it for ladies here). Returning to the ‘Lavender Eau de Cologne’ by L’Occitane en Provence: it’s extremely pleasant, refined, and relaxing. But the major flaw with this French house is the almost non-existent sillage and poor longevity. I forgive the lack of sillage since they are a personal care and room spray brand (fragrances for after the bath), but the longevity is another story. It could be as long-lasting as 4711 or the definitive post-bath cologne, Roger & Gallet Jean Marie Farina, but here we have a fragrance that vanishes in seconds.
Perhaps the best lavender I’ve tried so far, surpassing the classic ‘English Lavender’ by Yardley, though it doesn’t match Atkinsons, which I still consider the queen of the genre and a true classic for men (even though they market it here for women). Back to the ‘Lavender Eau de Cologne’ by L’Occitane en Provence: it smells great, refined, and relaxing, but… the major flaw with this French house is that it leaves almost no trail and fades very quickly. The lack of trail is understandable since they focus on personal care and room sprays (like post-bath fragrances), but the longevity isn’t. It should last as long as 4711 or the quintessential post-bath cologne, Roger & Gallet Jean Marie Farina, but here the scent disappears way too fast.
