Lavender is a tricky note: pure oil smells strong and medicinal, while cheap air fresheners betray the real scent. But nothing rivals a lavender field in Provence or sun-drenched Mediterranean slopes. This cologne captures that natural freshness—light and unpretentious. Floral notes dominate with an herbal touch (rosemary, mint, thyme) and a dry base; the citrus opening fades quickly, leaving a woody trail, perhaps cedar. It’s not linear or flat, but more subtle and original than classics like Atkinsons’ English Lavender. It fulfills its role as simple and refreshing, yet evocative: it brings to mind summer walks in the countryside and my grandmother’s dressing table, where lavender was mandatory. Note: my opinion is based on an old bottle from the 70s-80s; I haven’t tried the current versions.
