I don’t understand those who say it resembles My Burberry Black; there are lightyears of difference, that comparison offends me. Kenzo World is good, it has sillage and longevity, but My Burberry lasts longer (on me, it lasts until the next day). I’m not here to talk about Burberry. Kenzo has a bottle I love; it’s beautiful and interesting, but the contents don’t match the original look. Kenzo, even in the commercial, suggested it would be a novelty, but it follows the current line leaving a sweet aftertaste. In terms of sillage and longevity, it meets the standard for most Kenzo perfumes, quite acceptable.
I tried it with a sample and it was so-so. It’s pleasant, but that’s where it stops. I can’t comment on longevity and sillage because honestly, I didn’t pay much attention to them.
I stumbled upon a Kenzo Worlds presentation at a perfume store casually (late 2018). They did a test based on my personality, and it came up as this one. I was captivated by the salesperson’s chatter about the notes and the wonder of ambroxan until I bought it half-convincing because I didn’t like the smell on my wrist. Luckily, I swapped it; I couldn’t handle it. Hours passed, and I only felt a strong smell of oxidized iron. A pity, but to its credit, it has good fixation and lasts a lot.
On my skin, it starts with very prominent red berries and after half an hour shifts to a warmer, softer floral. I expected more longevity, but otherwise, it’s very pleasant. I do notice a certain air of Burberry Black at the beginning.
I think the same as Turquoise Star: incredible that it has so many bad reviews. I smell almost nothing but floral. I do notice the red berries, but the flowers stand out much more. It’s a sweet floral, nothing invasive or cloying. Far from its brother Kenzo World Intense, which is astronomically sweet and fruity. They are two distinct essences; this one is much more delicate. On me, longevity and sillage are moderate.
I’m so surprised by the rejection. I think for some, the impact was too much. It’s the most wonderful thing: it smells of warm fruits, sweet, mysterious, and seductive. I invite you to try it before letting yourself be carried away by subjective opinions.
Four sprays last all day. On my skin, it has good longevity, it’s not sweet, very floral, and you can smell the ambroxan throughout its development. Try it before buying because it’s not for everyone; this perfume requires personality and makes an impression.
I was looking for something floral for my partner, nothing with vanilla or cinnamon, and that didn’t smell like rich grandma’s perfume. The peonies, red berries, and ambroxan caught my eye for that clean vibe. I went to Primor, it was exactly what I imagined, and I fell in love. Already ordered it on sale. It’s floral, sensual, delicate, and feminine. I can’t stop sniffing the blotter; it’s the scent I like in girls aged 20 to 40. The bottle is gorgeous, though the cap is plastic. The blotter lasts four days; I hope it lasts the same on skin.
I gifted it to a friend and I love it; I think I’ll buy one for myself. It has a lot of personality, good longevity, and smells very different. It’s fresh and floral.
I love it! It’s exactly like the ad: versatile, carefree, and flirty without losing formality. If you like it, you’ll be hooked. I tried it last and it stands out above everything. It starts strong, then softens but still has weight. Smells like licorice with peach, like eating half a fruit—delicious. I give it 100/10, I’m in love.
When I first tried it, it reminded me of Marc Jacobs Decadence (edit: I didn’t know I was testing the EDT of Decadence; World doesn’t resemble the original, it’s more like Gucci Rush). That’s why I didn’t hesitate to buy it at the first opportunity. For me, it’s a sweet floral, something to be appreciated amidst so many gourmand offerings, without being cloying, with a slightly powdery dry-down that I find pleasant and versatile. The only thing I regret is that on my skin it doesn’t last more than two hours, so I don’t think I’ll repurchase it, but I really like its scent.
Finally! They lowered the price, and I could get it. It’s a very rich perfume, but there’s something that bothers me. It’s versatile, sweet but not cloying, appropriate for intermediate seasons. I tried it in summer and found it a bit strong; it’s more for afternoons and nights; I haven’t tried it in winter yet. The opening is intense but calms down by the hour, leaving a moderate and soft, very pleasant trail, with quite good longevity. I liked it and already completed the trio; I just need the yellow one for the quartet. Edit: I couldn’t stand the strong ambroxan in this EDP at the counter.
Finally, I have it; it’s charming: feminine, floral, fruity, with presence, and I feel really uplifted. The opening smells very marked of red fruits, like strawberry yogurt, but within minutes it blends with the jasmine, becoming gorgeous, with a fresh and cozy sweetness. The peony is perceived beautifully and cheerfully, adding a chic touch, and the ambroxan gives it a fantastic fixative to this lovely perfume.
It’s quite masculine, like something for a teenager. After a few hours on my skin, it starts to smell like saliva, horrible!
It’s a very rich aroma. By the color, it looks fresh, but it’s not; it’s an exquisite and seductive fruit/floral combo that, over time, reveals a pleasant, slightly sweet floral heart. The interesting part is that it’s not purely jasmine or peony, but a very well-balanced mix of both. I see it as ideal for those over 25; it’s versatile: soft, but its optimal point is an evening wear, a girls’ night out, or a romantic encounter. This fragrance really enchants.
I tried it again almost a year later, and my nose has evolved… and as always, this is cheap and sweet but fresh, a scent I’ve already perceived in fragrances like Mon Paris and Olympea Legend, all fresh. I stick with Legend because it’s soft and warm; I’m not a fan of fresh scents like this one because they technically cool down my nose, especially now in winter. Maybe it would work better in spring when it feels less fresh. I remember it was one of my favorites, the lovely Kenzo World.
I tried it in summer, and the opening smelled fresh and clean, very pleasant (not flat), reminding me of the Geronimo Stilton book of scents in the Fairy Kingdom—a very special smell. It seemed like a good summer perfume due to its sweetness and freshness, but once on the skin, it quickly turned powdery and floral, losing that sparkly touch that initially attracted me. The longevity seems good, and the dry-down still smells hours later. Since it’s available in many perfumeries, I recommend trying it before buying blind.
I love it; it was love at first sniff. The jasmine, my favorite flower, is very present, and the ambroxan gives it a unisex vibe that I really like (I have other options for super-floral feminine scents). It makes me feel happy and is perfect for all seasons, maybe less for summer because the opening is a bit strong. The trail is moderate but lasts hours before fading. I love reviving it with a breeze. It lasts about eight hours in cool weather and five in the heat (on clothes, from one day to the next). It’s pricey but worth it; I’d buy it again. Tip: don’t buy it blind, as the ambroxan can be heavy for some noses.
Very beautiful, very in the Kenzo style, with an oriental touch. It achieves a perfect floral-fruit balance, and I love how well the ambroxan suits it. I’ve already bought it multiple times, even the Intense version where the ambroxan is much more prominent.
I read the reviews and noticed they vary a lot, so I dug out some old samples to refresh my memory. Indeed, World on my skin feels incomplete and dark; I don’t sense the florals, and the base is too intense, rushing in without letting me enjoy the heart notes. The opening is very volatile. I don’t dislike it, but it sounds undefined and muted; it’s not Kenzo’s best, and I’d hardly buy it when there are better options at the same price.
I tried four from this line and none convinced me. In this case, it felt synthetic and weird, only becoming a soft, wearable scent with a floral touch once it dried down. I adore the bottles. If I saw it, I’d say it looks like it’s from the Salvador Dalí line.
It’s a very special aroma, certainly not for everyone. It’s either something you love or hate. I like it. The longevity is good and the bottle is beautiful.
I bought it with high expectations. I like the peony and jasmine notes and thought the fruity accords would make an interesting combination, but instead, it’s an unpleasant scent that gave me a headache. Do not recommend buying blind. A huge mistake by the Kenzo house.
It’s an incredibly complex fragrance that I absolutely love; it’s been my favorite for years. Nothing makes me feel more special than wearing it, and everyone always asks what perfume I’m using. I’d buy it a thousand times over—I truly can’t live without it.
I bought this by mistake. Before the pandemic, I’d heard the entire Kenzo World collection in a store and was sure this was the one I liked, so I ordered it online based on a vague memory. Total error. It’s strong after just three sprays and gives you a headache; it has an uncommon, somewhat masculine scent. It’s not an option for warm weather, but I wore it to NY and it worked great with amazing longevity and sillage. Definitely not for summer; it develops much better in cool climates.
I’m a huge fan of Francis Kurkdjian perfumes and any Kenzo. I tried it in Paris just before it arrived in Spain and brought it back as a souvenir. A true delight for the senses. I’d buy it a thousand times over.
It opens with a sweet, fruity red note but dries down to a completely dry, delicate, and fresh floral scent. It’s feminine and versatile. It lasts more than 8 hours on my skin. A good value option if you’re looking for something like this. Personally, I prefer the EDT version.
I’d been wanting to try this for ages and finally found it in a store, but honestly, it was disappointing. Not because of the scent, which I thought was exquisite, clean, and so potent I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist even from a distance. The issue is longevity: I sprayed it at 1:30 PM and by 4:30 PM there was nothing left, even after two generous sprays. Bottom line, I won’t buy it again. I’ve tried other brands that claim poor longevity, like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, but they last a bit longer and cost five times less. It’s a shame because while it lasted, I absolutely loved it.
One of my absolute favorites; I don’t get why people say it doesn’t last. It stays on my clothes until I wash them and on my skin until I shower. It’s spicy and bold, yet somehow evokes fall. I love it.
My husband gifted this to me and he nailed it 100%—I tested it in-store and absolutely loved it. At first, I was skeptical about how it would wear on my skin, but the truth is, every time I put it on, I get flooded with compliments. It lasts forever; I think it has great chemistry with my pH, so I love feeling like this, and it smells amazing on everyone else too. It’s perfect for winter, fall, spring, or cool summer days, day or night—super versatile. It works great for work or for being sensual with your partner. It makes a statement and has personality. While everyone chooses what they want, this is for someone with a strong character, someone who carries the world on their shoulders, nothing submissive. The name ‘World’ invites women just like that. If you’re interested in a dupe, Kosiuko Shine Gold is identical and comes in at about one-tenth the price of Kenzo World.
I find it interesting and it doesn’t resemble any other I’ve smelled. It’s very floral, and in the opening it has little touches of red fruits that fade quickly. The opening isn’t a huge fan of (it gets intense), but once it dries down… it’s much better. Personally, I like it more as it dries down and a smell appears that reminds me of aspirin. It has good longevity on me.
I own both Kenzo World and World Intense, both in parfum concentration, but I don’t perceive any difference. Has anyone done this and can you tell me? Thanks
Nice perfume
I’m sorry… but I couldn’t handle this perfume. It’s curious because near the end of the bottle I applied it more often and could identify those red fruit and floral notes… But it was around 12 degrees. With this I mean that this perfume, which I considered for spring/summer, is nothing like that. It’s for temperate climates, not cold ones, because if it’s under 10 degrees, the cold just eats it up. I’ve never tolerated its opening or evolution. I’ve been in perfumery for 3 years and my nose can’t handle extremely heavy musks or large doses of amber/ambroxan; my olfactory system ignores them. So Kenzo World was a bomb of heavy artificial musk with a slight floral note. By the hour, it disappeared from my nose, and even though people told me I smelled good, what’s the point if I don’t enjoy it? It cost me to finish the bottle; with perfumes I don’t like they last forever, and with the ones I adore they evaporate like water. I must highlight that it’s original; I haven’t smelled anything similar, maybe the only resemblance is the musk in Red Heart V.3. Maybe in the future, where my sense of smell evolves, I’ll return to this Kenzo World. Worth noting that its commercial and advertising seem extraordinary; I bought it only for that. If you’re like me and couldn’t handle this work by Francis, go for Kenzo World Intense or its sibling Kenzo World Power, which is a lovely summer treat. (Hopefully one day I’ll like a Francis K. perfume 😒). Scent: 3/10 Longevity: 3/10 Sillage: 3/10 Bottle: 9/10 Climate: 🍁❄️ Occasions: every day, especially mornings 🌄 Value: 7/10 Uniqueness: 7/10
Beautiful and intense fragrance with great presence. Not for every occasion; I’d use it for night events, outdoors, and in cool climates since it’s very invasive. The amber leaves a comforting, almost caramelized sensation. On my skin, it lasts more than 8 hours with wide projection. I love it and use it whenever I get the chance.
Where is the Egyptian jasmine? I can’t find it 🤔. The fragrance is lovely and stands out in my collection: opens with a ton of sweet, sparkling red fruits. Then I get cucumber, yes, rare but interesting. The ambroxan doesn’t bother me; in fact, I like it, so I went for it. The peony is in the dry-down with that undisclosed cucumber. In the end, it’s sweet and soft, smelling like those Yapa candy tablets sold here. I like it! Not groundbreaking, but an interesting proposal, give it a try. It fills you with energy and good humor. P.S.: I’ll stick with the Intense version a thousand times over; that one is truly beautiful.
I love it: fresh, distinct, soapy, and exquisite. Moderate trail and projection. It’s one of those that works great day or night, in any season. Beautiful fragrance.
Original, nocturnal, and fresh without being too intense. Moderate projection; I got complimented a couple of times, but it doesn’t last on the skin at all, maybe 3 hours max.
Interesting for the winter-spring transition. In extreme heat, it can be suffocating at first, then it settles. It doesn’t last long on the skin but lingers on clothes. To me, it smells like passion fruit, probably due to the strong ambroxan at the start. And watch out, it doesn’t smell like peony.
Bought it for the bottle; seemed novel and I finished it out of spite even though I didn’t like it. Nobody warned me about the scent—it was like they weren’t wearing perfume until I remembered now, and it gives me nausea. DO NOT RECOMMEND
