Descripción

Ilía Dual by Natura is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Verônica Kato and Jean-Marc Chaillan. The top notes unfold with cinnamon, pink pepper, and crushed berries; the heart reveals mimosa, neroli, jasmine, valley lily, and wild flower; while the base notes settle into leather, tobacco, cashmere, benzoin, and labdanum.

  • Natura’s official description says: Ilía Dual Olfactive Drop Intense Floral. The strength and personality of the leather and spice notes in contrast with the delicacy of the mimosa flower and the sweetness of the honey flower. Top notes: Luminous hesperidic accord, cinnamon and pink pepper. Heart notes: Mimosa, jasmine, lily of the valley, tuberose (neroli), illuminated flowers. Base notes: Tobacco and leather accord, cashmeran, benzoin and opium.

  • I recently acquired it and I like it a lot. The others in this line don’t please me; I feel they are super sweet, with a doll hair scent… but this one is sweet without being annoying and doesn’t have the trace of the Illias I don’t like. On my skin, the honey and leather stand out more; I don’t notice the others much.

  • I agree with Gildita: the leather isn’t very noticeable. But once I read that leather can be sweet like new shoes (unlike old, macerated leather, which I’d call more ‘tobacco-like’). I think this sweet leather is the one from Una Dual. The opening is very complex, truly ‘dual’: floral and luminous but with the base notes already peeking through. Beautiful and wonderful opening. Then the fragrance changes quite a bit – unfortunately for me, since I was fascinated by that initial harmony… In my opinion, it loses a bit of that balanced contrast and turns into a golden floral. I think it has an intense contribution of neroli (tuberose), but no indolic or animalic notes. Very well constructed, with the perfect combination of notes, very wearable, sophisticated and elegant without stepping on trendy toes. At times I felt I had smelled something similar… but I can’t find it. This sweet mix of golden or solar flowers and resinous/oily woods lasts a long time. The projection is very good in the elbow crease, I imagine it’s even better on the neck… I haven’t used it because I don’t feel it’s for me, but it’s a piece of a perfume! Just like the Una Senses, fragrances outside the ordinary and very well crafted! Total high-end. The only thing I’d object to is that the name feels too big for it; it’s not taaaan dual. But definitely Natura and Verónica Kato have shown off. PS: something about this perfume brings me back to memory of the Black Orchid by Tom Ford… They’re not alike… I don’t even know if they share notes… But there’s something of the character of one that’s in the other… The Dual is like another kind of sweet (I don’t know how to put words to that difference!)… But something of the trail it generates reminds me of the Black Orchid… Point for the Dual, well there! Now that it’s colder, I can perceive the leather base better. I think I like it more with cold air… I’m not deciding to gift or sell it because it’s so particular… Let’s see if I get the courage to use it one of these days…

  • I picked it up today almost on impulse after smelling the sample. I fell in love with that spicy touch so typical of Natura, but this one has something unique: a sweet woody, cinnamon note with a mentholated twist I’ve never felt before, very bold. It starts fresh and floral (intense jasmine and neroli), but soon those notes recede and a powerful cinnamon emerges, followed by pink pepper and leather. I sense more of a sweet leather than tobacco when it dries, though the tobacco is always there. Moderate projection and lasts a long time on the skin. I think it’s for winter due to the warmth of its ingredients. Exotic would be the word.

  • A bit disappointing, especially the longevity. The scent is rich but didn’t really enchant me. The downside is that it sticks to the skin and after a few hours, it’s almost gone; you have to work hard to catch it. It doesn’t project much. I bought it blindly after being blown away by the Essential Oud from the previous campaign, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that one.

One word: TREMENDOUS. Two: Tremendous, FASCINATING. Three: Tremendous, fascinating, and ENVELOPING. I wore it today in the middle of summer in Córdoba, and it’s clear it’s a night scent for cold days, but oh, it’s a crazy beautiful thing. It has a strong leather presence, the pepper gives it a spicy spark, and the tobacco adds an earthy touch. It could be masculine, but it’s super feminine. It has a delicate and mysterious presence, maybe because of the benzoin giving it a fascinating oriental twist that gives me goosebumps. Despite being potent, it doesn’t suffocate; it enchants. I dare say it’s the best Ilia alongside Viver, which is my favorite in the line.

It’s delicious. Different, but (I don’t know if it’s my pH) it doesn’t last on my skin. The sillage is short and very close to the skin.

I saw it listed as ‘intense’ in the catalog and thought, ‘perfect, I need this.’ And it was; I was excited because I love enveloping perfumes. The Ilia Dual is super intense and long-lasting, leaving a trail for quite a while. It delivers on its promise. I don’t love the fragrance itself, it’s okay, but I feel it suits a more mature woman, around 30. It’s sweet but ‘spicy,’ perhaps due to the leather. The sweetness is noticeable, but it bothers me a bit, even though I love sweet scents. Fragrance 8/10, Sillage 10/10, Longevity 10/10.

  • This little perfume is very curious; I’ve never smelled anything like it. I bought it during Natura promotions because it is a bit pricey, but not that much compared to other synthetic brands. I don’t quite know how to distinguish the notes; the reviews confuse me, but they nailed the sweet leather scent. I was going to gift it to my mom and ask if she wanted to smell like a shoe, but I kept it for myself. I gave her the Biography Awakening, which is super morning-appropriate. Dual is warmer, designed to embrace.

I bought it because my husband loved it. Great winter scent; it launched in Argentina in June 2019, and I’m using it again a year later. I don’t usually like Ilia, but this won my heart with warm, spicy, slightly sweet, and deep floral notes. It makes me want to light a fire so it can unfold with the heat. I wear it when I’m dressed up in a black leather jacket. I love it.

  • I’m glad to have this version; Natura perfumes get discontinued so easily. I loved the honey sweetness over deep woods, a rounded composition. It’s the best of Ilia; I wish I’d bought more because with 50ml I’ll be counting drops to enjoy it slowly. The sillage felt low, but they say you spread your scent around the room.

  • It smells sophisticated, like a golden age Italian cinema diva walked by. Leather and mimosa notes stand out, with a spicy kick of pepper and white flowers. I imagine they adorn the hair of a glamorous woman. I don’t think it’s for winter; I reserve it for spring nights.

  • I was surprised and charmed by the Ilia Dual. I don’t like anything from the Ilia line, but this is a perfume in a league of its own. The leather and mimosa are noticeable and last a long time. Ideal for winter.

  • I sense a sophisticated aroma, as if a diva from the golden age of Italian cinema were walking past me and I smelled that clean, elegant, enveloping scent. I sense leather and mimosa or mimosa and leather; for me, those are the two notes that stand out most; the pepper gives it a very nice spicy touch and the white flowers,… Well, I feel its aroma as if they were adorning the hair of this glamorous woman. Despite its notes, personally I don’t feel it’s a winter perfume. I reserve it for spring nights.

  • Really surprised and delighted with the Ilia Dual… I don’t like the Ilia line at all, but this is a Mr. Perfume distinct from the whole line… The leather and mimosa are noticeable and last a long time on the skin… Great for Winter…

  • Totally disappointed, even though it is sweet. I gave it a thousand chances to win me over; the sample convinced me, but on my skin it was a disaster. I’ll try it in summer, hoping it changes.

  • I absolutely hated it, even though it’s sweet. I tried everything to make it stick, giving it a thousand chances. The olfactory drop convinced me to buy it, but on my skin it was an overwhelming disappointment. I’ll try it in summer and hope it changes.

  • I bought it blindly for the leather note and wow, it’s another world. Definitely winter, intense, and special. It opens with pink pepper, then leather accompanies it with a fruity floral touch. It feels cozy; I don’t have anything like this in my collection. No regrets.

  • When I first atomized it, I hated it, probably because I had another perfume on; I gave it a second opportunity and it caused the same effect of something somewhat heavy and ugly, but it was only at the opening. As minutes passed, I started to be attracted to the scent, I began to like it, I started to feel the leather note, it felt a warm sweet, I no longer felt it heavy and too spicy like at the opening. I recommend letting the perfume evolve to discover it and feel the great perfume it is.

I do like it; I wear it on cold days and at home. If there’s an important executive event to convey respect, seriousness, empowerment, and opulence, I’d wear it too. On me, the leather (vegan, I love it), mimosa, cinnamon, tobacco, honey flower, and cashmere stand out. Good sillage and longevity, though I suggest trying it before buying.

  • This perfume has been a surprise; I’m a lover of powerful perfumes with character, strength, and personality. I’m not very fond of catalog perfumes because they tend to be very traditional, but this one turned out to be different and charming, plus it has good projection and adequate longevity. The opening is a bit strident, you feel a spicy scent, you can distinguish the pink pepper, and it turns sweet, with a certain degree of sharp acidity. As time passes, you’ll feel the flowers, a strong cinnamon smell, the benzoin, and in my case, I perceive more tobacco than leather. Long-lasting, powerful, and very different. I really loved it. But it’s not for everyone’s taste; I suggest trying it because it’s different and very invasive.

  • I’d never wear something like this in real life; the scent repulses me. I’m into sweet fragrances, and this smells terrible.

  • In my life, I’d wear something like this. Softly repulses me; I’m into sweet scents, and this smells horrible.

  • Garzafumfum

What an original and beautiful perfume, too bad it’s no longer in the catalog. It’s like a sweet spice blend, and I wore it for a night out; it smells very sophisticated. Hopefully, they bring it back.

  • Sometimes the leather and tobacco blend stands out, and other times the sweetness of the cinnamon. Changeable! Gorgeous for autumn and winter days.

  • Sometimes the leather and tobacco take over, other times the sweet cinnamon shines… it changes a lot! Perfect for fall and winter.

  • I’m very attracted to it, but in winter it either fades away or makes me dizzy if I apply too much. In spring and summer, it’s gorgeous for cool, enclosed spaces. The leather and tobacco notes soften, leaving a balanced scent with just a few sprays. I recommend trying it this way for those who can’t handle the astringency of those notes. For now, I think Natura perfumes are made for humid, temperate, and warm climates; they always fit right in there.

I read nonsense about age and the aroma being embarrassing. It seems like whoever wrote that only smelled baby cologne. They claim any note without knowing what each one smells like. Use your nose more and your tongue less. The scent is a 10, even combined. Do something productive instead of this. Kisses.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

I barely tested it and fell in love. Then I tried others, but this one kept coming back. In winter, it faded quickly, which is rare for something so elegant, honeyed, spicy, and strong. I detect lots of tobacco, honey (not listed, but it’s there), and leather, with cinnamon depending on the weather. It’s unique, mysterious, and dark. Ideal for spring or autumn nights. Lasts 8 hours with moderate sillage. If you like spicy and floral fragrances, I recommend it. It’s different from the other Ilia scents.

  • MishaReview

It’s a fragrance not everyone can handle: strong, with burnt cedar and sandalwood, and it dries down very dry. It has a sweet base of pink pepper and cinnamon. As always, I recommend smelling it on skin before buying because it’s not for everyone. Very rich and elegant, it smells like an expensive woman.
