Some perfumes hook you with their name, bottle, or brand, but I’m drawn to ones I discover here on Fragrantica through their descriptions and notes; to be honest, almost everything matters except the name, which has nothing to do with it. It’s a lovely perfume with a beautiful bottle—soft, sweet, romantic, and melancholic in a unique way, not sad, just intriguing enough to make you think. It’s perfect for quiet afternoons spent alone with yourself, very feminine, wearable all day and in any season, with a distinctly French scent. Despite all its merits, I wouldn’t pay full price for a bottle because I feel something’s missing from its character; the longevity isn’t great and the sillage is skin-deep. It’s worth trying—it’s delicious—but what it conveys (at least to me) I’ve already found in other fragrances I own.
