Descripción
Gold No. 10 by Puredistance is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2019, this composition is signed by perfumer Antoine Lie. The top notes feature Calabrian bergamot, green mandarin, pink pepper, cloves, and rosemary, delivering a vibrant and spicy opening. The heart reveals the warmth of Spanish labdanum, the spice of cinnamon, the florality of Indian jasmine, and geranium. The base settles on benzoin, myrrh, styrax, Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean, castoreum, patchouli, and vetiver, creating a deep and enveloping structure.

Gold is a balsamic and sweet perfume with a citrus and spicy touch that makes it very wearable and great for daytime. The opening is citrusy, a mix of bergamot and orange with spices, fresh and intense. Gradually, the citrus fades and the balsamic notes take the spotlight: myrrh, cistus, benzoin… All with a slightly dirty edge from subtle castoreum and jasmine, adorned by the sweetness of vanilla, tonka bean, and cinnamon. Longevity is high with a soft settling. The opening is intense but it fades quickly on skin, perceptible only up close. It’s unisex and versatile for this type of aroma. Although I like it a lot, it resembles others I’ve already tried, so it’s one of the less original options in the brand. However, the quality of the ingredients is evident. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Projection: 6, Value: 5, Versatility: 7, Originality: 6, Overall: 8.5.
Gold is a sweet balsamic perfume with citrus and spicy notes, perfect for daytime. It starts fresh with bergamot and orange, then gives way to myrrh, cistus, and benzoin, with a slightly dirty touch of castoreum and subtle jasmine, all wrapped in vanilla, tonka bean, and cinnamon. It lasts a long time but stays close to the skin quickly; it’s unisex and versatile, though it resembles others in the brand, so it’s not the most original. The quality of the ingredients really stands out. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Projection: 6, Value: 5, Versatility: 7, Originality: 6, Overall: 8.5.
Puredistance’s Gold smells elegant and clean, nothing intrusive, perfect for daytime, the office, or formal events. The opening is citrusy and sweet without being cloying, very wearable. Maybe it’s not original, but it oozes quality; it radiates cleanliness and distinction, a scent that surely suits everyone. Projection is normal and it lasts about 6 to 7 hours on my skin. Considering alternatives and the base price, it doesn’t seem like a logical purchase for me, since the brand has better options. I’ll enjoy this sample, but it’s most likely we won’t see each other again.
Regarding Puredistance’s Gold, it’s an elegant scent, nothing intrusive, ideal for daily wear, the office, or formal situations where you want to stand out. It smells clean, citrusy at first, with sweet accords but nothing cloying, very wearable and subtle. Maybe it’s not original, but it oozes quality everywhere. When you wear it, waves of cleanliness and elegance start to arrive; it’s a scent I doubt anyone would reject. Projection is normal and longevity on my skin is about 6-7 hours. Considering market alternatives and Puredistance’s base price, I don’t see a logical purchase for myself; there are better options within the brand itself. I’ll enjoy this sample, but I’m sure we won’t see each other again.
Holy cow, this perfume is amazing! Many brands sell you a spectacular opening to make you buy without thinking, and it’s a mistake. With Puredistance’s Gold, the exact opposite happens. At first, the citrus is sublime, but by the second minute, the animal notes give you a shock and you wonder what the hell it smells like. On skin, it’s even stronger, though it mellows out as it dries. The opening, except for that citrus which I absolutely love, felt ugly and hard to handle. But here comes the surprise: after a few minutes (not a few), the fragrance settles. After 20-30 minutes, you stop smelling isolated notes and the blend starts to shine. A exquisite, subtle sweetness joins in, without being cloying, thanks to the resins, vanilla, and amber. A true delight. The animal notes are still there, but they’ve dropped significantly and add distinction. From that point on (on my skin it lasts about 12 hours), it’s pure pleasure. It doesn’t have much projection, but it doesn’t need to; it smells strong in your personal bubble. You can tell it’s a high-quality extract. I love it, once you get past that initial phase. The only downside is the price: right now there’s a 17.5 ml version for 175 EUR (10 EUR per ml), which is a rip-off. They also sell 60 ml for 295 EUR and 100 ml for 490 EUR. All are expensive, but if I have to choose, I’d go with the 60 ml. At 490 EUR, I don’t think it competes with an Exceptional Extrait by Amouage, for example. For now, I’m using it as a decant and don’t have it in my collection. I give it an 8.5.
What a wonderful perfume. Many brands sell you an attractive opening to make you buy without thinking, but that’s not the case here. Puredistance’s Gold starts with an excellent citrus, but by the second minute, the animal notes hit you like a slap and seem horrible on skin. After 20-30 minutes, the fragrance settles and stops sounding individual; an exquisite sweetness from resins, vanilla, and amber joins in. The animal notes drop in intensity and add distinction. From that point on, for about 12 hours, it’s a delight. It doesn’t have much projection, but you can smell it in your personal bubble. You can tell the concentration of the extract and the immense quality. It’s best enjoyed below 22 degrees; I wouldn’t use it in summer. It’s suitable for work, dates, movies, etc., but not for going out partying due to the moderate projection. I loved it except for the price: 17.5 ml for 175 EUR is a rip-off (10 EUR per ml). There are also 60 ml for 295 EUR and 100 ml for 490 EUR. All are expensive, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with the 60 ml. At 490 EUR, it doesn’t compete with an Exceptional Extrait by Amouage. I’ve enjoyed it as a decant and it’s not entering my collection for now. I give it an 8.5.
