I got to try Antonia and it’s a classic that truly works. I see it as a floral chypre with oriental touches, very similar to Sisley’s Soir d’Or. The floral base of rose and ylang-ylang reminds me of Chanel No. 5, but with fewer aldehydes, so it smells less soapy. The iris adds freshness. On the other hand, the galbanum mixed with vetiver gives it a green-oriental vibe that makes me think of cypress trees. It has great staying power with moderate projection. It’s unisex (like Eau du Soir) and very versatile: ideal for summer nights or daily wear if it’s cool. Intense and elegant. Hi, I got to try Antonia. It’s a very classic but excellent perfume. I would classify it as a floral chypre with an oriental twist, and its scent reminds me a lot of Sisley’s Soir d’Or. On one hand, the floral part based on rose and ylang-ylang. The latter makes the perfume remind me a lot of scents like Chanel No. 5, though with fewer aldehydes and therefore less soapy. The iris gives it a fresh touch. On the other hand, the galbanum mixed with vetiver gives it a point between green and oriental, which I think produces that sensation that reminds me of cypress trees. The performance is very good with moderate projection. Unisex (or at least as unisex as Eau du Soir) and very versatile for me. For summer nights or daily wear in cooler climates. Intense and very elegant. Scent: 9 Longevity: 8 Projection: 7 Value: 5 Versatility: 8 Originality: 6 Overall: 9

Antonia by Puredistance was love at first sight. It’s a complex, mature fragrance and a worthy heir to classic French perfumery, yet without that dated touch of the old guard. It reminds me a bit of Chanel No. 5 and Arpège. Perhaps it’s the modern daughter—much livelier, prettier, and more interesting than Arpège. With Antonia, I finally understood what my type of perfume is: the ones Michael Edwards classifies as green.
