Descripción
Giardinodiercole by Agatho Parfum is an aromatic citrus fragrance created for men and women. Launched in 2019, this olfactory composition was designed by perfumer Maurizio Cerizza. Its top notes of juniper berries, labdanum, lavender, bergamot, and rhubarb offer a fresh and complex opening. The heart reveals frankincense, black pepper, saffron, sage, and allspice, adding depth and spicy character. Finally, the base settles with Virginia cedar, labdanum, amber, sandalwood, cashmere wood, patchouli, and musk, closing the olfactory pyramid with a warm and enveloping finish.

If you’re a fan of intense woody scents like Ormonde Man or Royal Oud, you have to own this. In spring, it smells like heaven.
If you love powerful woody scents like Ormonde Man or Royal Oud, this is a must-have. In spring, it’s spectacular.
GIARDINODIERCOLE is a fragrance made with quality. The opening is balsamic, sumptuous, and sweet; you can feel the cold juniper note, measured by soft lavender and lots of patchouli, with a citrus accord that lasts very little. The most elegant part appears in the heart: incense, saffron, and cedar give it body, making the sumptuous sensation disappear to become drier over a patchouli base. At the end, the sweetness of opoponax and a bit of amber appear for a few hours. Although it’s not my favorite from the house, lovers of patchouli should try it, because the development doesn’t lean so heavily into the earthy as is common, offering an interesting aromatic twist. Overall, it’s a serious and very elegant fragrance that even gives off a paternal image. Projection is good, about 1 meter for two hours, and it lingers on the skin for about 12 hours.
Giardinodercole is another great perfume from Agatho, very masculine, elegant, and memorable. I won’t talk about the box, bottle, or cap since I already did with Fauno; both are impressive. The scent isn’t innovative, but it’s very well formulated and I enjoy it every time I wear it. You need personality to pull it off, because it’s one of those ‘here I am, and if you smell like this, it’s me’ scents. XD The opening with the bullets, bergamot, and lavender is exquisite; then cedar, red pepper, black pepper, and saffron with a touch of sage come in. In the base, colophony, wood touches, cashmere, and one of the ingredients that make a fragrance powerful, sexy, and elegant: patchouli, amber, and musk. Longevity: 8/10, Projection: 8/10, Sillage: 7/10. It’s not an atomic bomb like Fauno, but it makes itself felt in a very dense bubble.
Another small contribution from Agatho, very masculine and elegant. I already know the presentation from Fauno, but the scent of Giardinodercole is a well-formulated gem. It’s not innovative, but it has character: you wear it and say ‘here I am’. It starts with an exquisite opening of bullets, bergamot, and lavender, then cedar, red pepper, black pepper, and saffron with sage come in. The base is wood, cashmere, patchouli, amber, and musk, making it powerful, sexy, and elegant. Longevity 8/10, projection 8/10, sillage 7/10. It’s not an atomic bomb like Fauno, but it creates a dense bubble around you.
I thought it would just be resins and smoke, but I was pleasantly surprised: an almost perfect blend of spiced sweetness and heat intertwined with wood. It starts green and intense, with clear bergamot and rhubarb, giving way to a delicate amber. It’s a masterful spiced juice with incense and a flawless patchouli, followed by wood; the scent is sharp, warm, and enveloping, though it sometimes turns sweet and soft. I consider it a notable masculine classic, thanks to the well-balanced lavender with the spices. Pity that longevity isn’t its strong suit: it lasts a while on you, then lingers on the skin for a few hours. A fresh, slightly distant, yet elegant aroma. (Courtesy of Carlos)
