Fauno is a beast, full of personality and power. At first, it smells like citrus similar to Loewe, with a spicy kick that gives it character. Then tobacco takes over, leaving that post-cigarette scent that only improves with time. It’s elegant, dry, refined, and has that perfect touch of dirty. Brutal quality and addictive, ideal for night. Although it’s an autumn and winter scent, it holds up on cool summer evenings. It’s the bad boy in a leather jacket who doesn’t follow the rules. Definitely my favorite from Agatho.
Agatho’s Fauno was love at first sniff, and lucky me for buying it blind. To start, the house’s presentation is brutal: wooden boxes with illustrations of each fragrance, and of course, the bottle and cap are handmade, just like the spectacular box. But the surprise doesn’t stop there; it’s inside the bottle with that scent that made me fall in love. I love every facet of this perfume; although it’s linear, it has several nuances, not so much olfactory ones but rather conceptual. Because Fauno is elegant yet a bit of a rogue, you can wear it both formally and with jeans and a leather jacket. The moment you spray it, you notice pepper, tobacco, and incense, but right after, the grapefruit and pear emerge, always very present in the foreground along with a slight touch of red pepper. Cedar, ambergris, incense, and tobacco create a canvas and frame that give it that rough, masculine character, but thanks to the pear, 98% of people who smell it like it. Galbanum and neroli are barely perceptible to me. I’d say it’s more masculine, but tastes vary. It’s more versatile than you can imagine, both in terms of outfits and seasons. 100% recommended. Longevity: 9/10, Projection: 9/10, Sillage: 9/10.

This is my first perfume from this brand, a blind buy guided solely by reviews. On my skin, it opens with galbanum, incense, and a touch of white floral, with a very subtle citrus base that barely stands out against the heavy opening. It’s interesting; it seems to have something sweet like sandalwood, but I think it’s actually pear and tobacco. Once the initial phase settles, the cedar, black pepper, and ambergris really shine, giving that sweet pipe tobacco a lot of punch and making it very enjoyable. It stays this way until the very end, lasting around 9 to 10 hours on my skin with moderate sillage and projection. It doesn’t smell like Iron Duke or Don by Xerjoff; it’s sweeter, more refined, and less rough. Ideal for cool climates, elegant or casual wear, it always looks good. A very attractive, unisex scent for people over 28 who have some experience with niche perfumes. Scent: 8.5/10 Sillage: 8.0/10 Projection: 8.0/10 Longevity: 8.5/10
