Skin-deep but not sparkly at all! The opening is lovely and I hope it stays that way, but on my skin it evolves more toward talc, which I don’t like anymore. It doesn’t smell bad, of course, but it’s not my style. It reminds me of when I used to dust my son with talcum powder, haha, that little nursery scent. Bye, this Diptyque isn’t for me. I insist, it doesn’t smell bad; some people love soft, powdery scents, and this is one of them.
Smells like talc and is super cozy. I love it! It doesn’t project much, but it lasts all day on my skin.
Simply a masterpiece for lovers of powdery and clean scents. It smells like that, freshly washed skin with an expensive soap and a body milk, but with elegance and class. I really liked it and as soon as I can, I’m going to make it my go-to perfume for the cold season.
It’s not a masterpiece; it’s just iris and talcum powder. It smells very much like powder/deodorant. If you want someone to tell you: ‘You smell like deodorant,’ this is your perfume.
Another gem from Diptyque, by its perfumer, a true artist who knows how to make the most of quality ingredients and elevate the compositions of any fragrance. Emotions kick in when you smell this beauty up close. When you smell a Diptyque perfume, it seems like the rest of the brands buy their ingredients from a flea market. If I said this is a clean perfume, that would be true; if I said it’s powdery, that’s also true; and if I said it’s a white scent, that wouldn’t be a lie. But this doesn’t describe the softness of each note; if it’s powdery, it’s not the dusty, dry kind, but creamy and aldehydic. If it’s white, it’s not at all sharp. Perfect signature fragrance for any time of year except perhaps extremely cold days, though the warmth of its scent makes it cozy even on a gray day. Like almost all Diptyque perfumes, it projects and lasts longer than it seems, so that subtlety is absent from a superb composition quality. Mr. Pescheux didn’t have enough with giving us the best white perfume in the world (Eau de Sens); now he’s recording the B-side of that aromatic vinyl single. An absolute standout.
It’s curious why when I first smelled it I didn’t perceive almost any scent… just something very soft that also faded to nothing in a short time. But more than 12 hours later, I can perfectly perceive the scent on the ‘cardboard’. I can’t add much more to what others have already commented, it also reminds me of delicate talcum powder. It’s something very soft that smells clean. I don’t feel it projects, so it’s an intimate fragrance.
A love at first sniff on skin. I smelled it on a tester long ago and it seemed dry, sharp, and unwelcoming. I received a sample and gave it a chance on skin after a shower. I spent half a night with my nose buried in that clean, creamy, slightly soapy but classy, modern powdery scent, subtle yet with a permanent aura that accompanies every movement. Its bursts last 7-8 hours whenever I wear it. On clothes, it lasts days. Iris isn’t a note I always tolerate; either I fall in love with it or I hate it within a composition. Here, there’s no doubt, I love it; it’s one of my favorite scents.
I liked it until the leather came out as it dried. It’s a no for me.
I liked it until the leather note appeared during the dry-down. It’s a no for me.
Without a doubt, my favorite skin-scent perfume: non-intrusive, evocative evolution, and perfect performance. Projects lightly and lasts about 8 hours. At first, white musk and iris in balance with a hint of aldehydes; elegant and cozy, like a kitten’s soft fur with mother-of-pearl sparkles. As it settles, innocence gives way to a soft suede-like leather that turns into a smoky amber musk. It exudes warmth and sensuality, like a Sunday morning remembering a passerby. Minimal projection, but 8 hours on skin. Tremendous femininity and elegance, usable in any weather (feels flatter in summer). Worthy of being a signature. Without a doubt, this is my favorite ‘skin scent’: it’s not intrusive, has a very evocative evolution, and the performance is perfect: projects lightly but lasts about 8 hours. At first, I notice the white musk and iris notes in perfect balance, with a tiny hint of aldehydes. It feels equally elegant and cozy; the first thing I thought when I sprayed it was the soft, plush texture of a kitten’s fur, along with the iridescent flashes of mother-of-pearl. As it settles, the innocence fades and gives way to a soft leather, like suede or chamois, which eventually turns into an ambered, smoky ambrette musk. This phase exudes warmth, sensuality, and laziness, projecting me into those smiling Sunday mornings where I’d remember, wrapped only in my sheets, a passerby walking past my bed the night before. Its projection is minimal, but its longevity on skin is about 8 hours. I thought it was a perfume of tremendous femininity, elegance, and maturity, suitable for any weather (though in summer it feels flatter and more powdery) or occasion. Worthy of becoming a signature scent, I’ll get one when I have the chance. Pleasant: 10/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 10/10 Original: 7/10
So beautiful it makes me want to stop being a bitter, distant person who judges everything and finally live in peace. Elegant, not intrusive, with a salty touch and a nostalgic yet timeless clean skin scent… it doesn’t remind you of the past… but it does. I absolutely loved it. Very subtle and luxurious, perfect for enjoying.
So beautiful it makes me want to stop being a bitter, distant person and just live in peace. Elegant, not invasive, with a salty touch and a clean, nostalgic yet timeless skin note. It doesn’t remind you of the past… but it does. I’ve loved it. Very discreet and luxurious, perfect for enjoying.
I’m obsessed with the scent, but I’m not sure I’d buy the large size. I tried the 7.5ml and initially thought it would be my favorite Diptyque, but it wasn’t. It’s a very different, powdery scent that I fell in love with the moment I applied it, but after hours, I don’t know why it starts smelling like baby skin or powder. It does smell good and I always feel very comfortable in it, plus it lasts quite a while on skin and clothes, but I prefer other scents from the brand.
My new favorite from Diptyque.
My new Diptyque top pick.
