It smells like cinnamon at first, then gets boring with the same wood, spice, and citrus notes found in most men’s perfumes.
A bomb of patchouli and tonka bean. At first, it feels like a sweet oud, resinous aroma, lots of sage and citrus accords, but then it’s patchouli and more patchouli, endless tonka bean and more patchouli. I didn’t smell cardamomo or pepper, I imagine they got diluted between the patchouli and tonka bean. Longevity is good, and I see it as a positive that it’s not very intrusive. It feels masculine and elegant. Ideal for intermediate seasons and fresh, airy climates. I like it more than YSL’s men’s collection or hits like 1 Million. Clearly more sophisticated, with better presence, though saying it’s excellent or special would be an exaggeration.
I think this fragrance is based on a good quality intense oud, with patchouli and pepper, and very soft citrus at the start. When I wore it, I felt like freshly sanded furniture or fresh from the sawmill. Tonka bean or cardamomo give it a cloying facet. I consider it linear and a bit boring, but interesting; the best of Fendi currently. It’s potent, with good longevity, trail, and at some point reminded me of the wonderful Kokoriko. Very nice bottle and juice color. For a man 30+ in autumn. Recommended.
I believe this fragrance is based on an intense, high-quality oud wood, paired with patchouli and pepper, and very soft citrus at the start. I owned it, and it made me feel like freshly sanded furniture or wood straight from the sawmill. The tonka bean or cardamom adds a bit of sweetness. I consider it linear and a little boring, yet interesting; it’s the best from Fendi right now. It’s potent with good longevity and sillage, and at some point, it reminded me of the wonderful Kokorico. The bottle and juice color are very nice. Recommended for men over 30 in autumn.
Fan di Fendi Absoluto is a linear, potent, and formal scent for temperate (rainy) to cold climates. Here you can see the difference from the original, where the liquorish effect is missing. It’s a sober, slightly dark fragrance with modern personality, not intrusive but with a stern and noble character. Dominated by opoponax, cardamomo, and pink pepper, it has few evolutions. Slightly dirty and vibrant opening; requires at least 15 minutes to show its true intention. Then a sweet wood with tonka bean appears, where patchouli adds a dry green note, not fresh. The best part shows up after 45 minutes, until the end, with linear presence and horizontal evolutions. At times, the sage with a citrus note seems to wake up with the pink pepper and oud. Very pleasant and notable in high-density night fragrances. Refined and dark personality with sweetness. Longevity above 12 hours. 9.5/10.
Fan di Fendi Absoluto is linear, potent, and formal, perfect for mild to cold climates. You can tell the original’s liquor note is missing; it’s sober, slightly dark, and has a stern character. Dominated by opoponax, cardamom, and pink pepper, it has a dirty opening that takes about 15 minutes to reveal its true intent: a sweet wood blend with tonka and a dry, old herb-like patchouli. The best part hits at 45 minutes when the citrus sage seems to wake up amidst the pepper and ever-present oud. It’s very pleasant, refined, and sweet in the dark, perfect for night. Lasts over 12 hours. Rating: 9.5.
I’m usually against mass flankers, like those from One Million or CH, and sometimes I avoid trying them because they’re so generic, boring, and commercial. This Fan di Fendi one never crossed my mind to try, but a saleswoman insisted on giving it to me because she loved it and it had just arrived. I was surprised, as rarely happens when testing a perfume; that spiced oud wood amazed me. I told myself it couldn’t be all sunshine and waited for it to dry down to see if it changed. And indeed, it did, but for the better; it turned out to be a special woody fragrance. By the time I wanted to buy it, it had already been discontinued. I waited a long time to finally get my hands on it.
I’m usually against mass flankers, like those from One Million or CH, and sometimes I skip them because they’re generic and commercial. I’d never tried this Fan di Fendi before, but a saleswoman convinced me to try it because she loved it. I was surprised; that spicy oud wood amazed me. I told myself it couldn’t be all pink and waited for it to dry down. Indeed, it changed, but for the better: a special woody result. When I wanted to buy it, it was already discontinued. I had to wait a long time to get it.
I understand Fendi’s strategy with this flanker: they aren’t looking for jewels or innovation, but rather perfumes that work. They blend safe values effectively to create an efficient product. Assoluto is a masculine woody fragrance with a certain smoky touch that works very well and performs satisfactorily. It’s designed for cool nights. I’ve read they’re now at a fair price, so it’s a good option if you can find it for 30-35€.

Fan di Fendi Pour Homme Assoluto is an elegant, formal, and mature woody oriental. It opens intensely with spices and smoky woods, pepper, oud, and cardamom, with a touch of leather. After the initial blast, a sensual tonka bean note and a subtle patchouli gain presence while the spices maintain their development. It reminds me of the regular version and a bit of Burberry’s London for Men. The scent is very pleasant, and I think it’s a great fragrance, though maybe that’s why they discontinued it. It has excellent longevity, over 12 hours, best worn in autumn and winter.
Fan di Fendi Pour Homme Absoluto is a well-crafted woody oriental, elegant, formal, and mature. Intense opening with spices and slightly smoky woods, pepper, oud, and cardamomo, even with a hint of leather. Then a sensual tonka bean note takes over, perhaps with a subtle patchouli, while the spices linger. It reminds me a bit of the original version and Burberry’s London for Men. Very pleasant and good fragrance, though I think it was overlooked, perhaps that’s why it was discontinued. Excellent longevity, superior to 12 hours. Preferably worn in autumn and winter.
Just got it. I think it’s a delicious, masculine, and unconventional aroma with high-quality ingredients.
I never knew about Fendi’s perfumery. This Fendi Absoluto turned me into an absolute fan. I found it by chance while frantically searching for discontinued scents at a small shop; the clerk pulled it out as a last-of-the-run item. I bought it blind and loved it. It’s woody, spicy, with a strong 80s-90s vibe. Smells great of balsamic pine (opoponax resin). The oud isn’t noticeable. It doesn’t smell old or like cheap copies of classics. Old-school performance, masculine, elegant, and versatile. Very affordable price, around 30 euros for 50ml. Now it’s hard and expensive to find.
Fendi Absoluto fan: Sweet oud with liquorish notes. I wear it at night for bars, paired with black clothes. It’s not elegant; it’s rough yet cloyingly sweet. It’s discontinued, so it’s not worth the current price (unless there’s a sale). Lasts about 4 hours and fades fast. A timeless scent, neither classic nor modern. Worth it if you can grab it for under $100, otherwise, skip it.
Elegant and masculine, good quality. The longevity is a bit short, but it’s worth it.
