In my opinion, this is the best of Donna Karan’s apple versions… in fact, it seems to be the only one that actually smells like apple 😀 It has the best longevity and sillage… overall, the most pleasant. I think the plum, teak wood, and bergamot have enriched it positively, giving it (finally!) a touch of distinction to the apple collection.
Among the Be Delicious flankers, my favorites are Fresh Blossom and this one. Thanks to a swap with Selene Hdez, I got it and loved it because it’s not as sweet as the original green one, which overwhelmed me. Golden Delicious smells more woody, but without losing femininity; it’s the most serious and discreet version. The red apple note stands out, along with a very fresh floral and a creamy touch from the musk and sandalwood. Longevity and sillage are moderate. I think it doesn’t offend anyone and pleases most people. Ideal for fresh days, but as Fragrantica reviews say, it’s super versatile and works for almost any climate.
Among the flankers of the famous Be Delicious, I have two favorites: Fresh Blossom (pink) and this one. Thanks to a swap with Selene Hdez, I got this scent, which I really liked because it’s not as sweet as the original green Be Delicious, which almost overwhelmed me. Golden Delicious feels more woody, but not less feminine. It’s like a more serious, discreet version of the original. The note I detect most is red apple; the floral blend is also noticeable and very fresh. Finally, I also pick up a creamy touch, probably from the musk and sandalwood. Longevity and sillage are moderate. I think this is one of those scents that won’t offend anyone and will be pleasant to most. In my opinion, it’s better for fresh days, but as you can see in previous Fragrantica reviews regarding the season bars under the description, Golden Delicious is quite versatile and can probably be worn in almost any climate.
It’s like the Be Delicious but more reserved. Although Azuriiita and Annabel are good, I still prefer the original for its cheerfulness and energy.
Similar to the Be Delicious but more conservative than the latter. Unlike Azuriiita and Annabel, I stick with the Be Delicious, which I find more cheerful and energizing.
This perfume isn’t the exception to their other versions. It’s a flat, simple, overly sweet scent—pleasant but lacking charm or personality. It has no soul; it’s too modern. I can barely justify it for very young girls just starting to explore the world of perfumery. These are commercial, marketing-driven scents. For beginners only.
Incredible, just as good as the Be Delicious. Even though DKNY has many ‘Delicious’ scents, the originals are unforgettable. Soft and sweet at the same time. I love it!
Just as incredible as the Be Delicious. Even though DKNY has a ton of ‘Delicious’ versions, I think the originals are memorable scents with real character. Soft and sweet at the same time. I love it!
Very rich and fresh, very pleasant. The problem is it doesn’t last long and has zero projection. I love it and it suits me well, but it doesn’t last. It reminds me a bit of Kenzo L’eau.
Unlike other flankers, this one is more conservative without losing its apple note. I think it was made for more formal occasions within its category. Excellent perfume, I like it, and it suits me better in the fall. Donna Karan knows what she’s doing. Highly recommended.
Another Delicious gem. I don’t know what’s special about this line that it adapts so well to my skin and lasts so long. Fresh, cheerful, and feminine.
I bought it thinking it was the green apple Delicious, but realized it wasn’t that. It’s quite similar, though I feel it’s softer and less long-lasting. Overall, it’s fresh and smells clean; what stands out most is the apple, and at the end, the musk gives it that clean touch.
I picked it up thinking it was the Be Delicious (green apple) and realized it wasn’t. It looks very similar, though this one smells softer and doesn’t last as long. Overall, it’s fresh and smells clean; what stands out most is the apple, and at the end, the musk leaves a clean sensation.
It’s a super fresh and clean fragrance; I loved it… I feel like it’s the teenage version of Adore. It fixes very well, and when I wear it to the office, people always compliment it. I’d buy it again; the only thing I don’t like is the green apple, so I’ll try the pink apple to see how it goes.
A very fresh and clean fragrance. I loved it… I feel like it’s the teenage sister of J’adore. It fixes well, and when I wear it to the office, people always compliment me. I would buy it again. What I don’t like is the green apple note; I’ll try the rose next to see how it goes.
I bought it thinking it was the original Delicious. With low expectations, I tried it, and what a surprise: it’s very similar to J’adore, but I think this one is richer and more wearable. It’s a fine, sophisticated, and super long-lasting perfume; it easily lasts 8 hours on my skin, and nothing else lasts that long for me! When I wear it, people ask what I’m wearing. It’s versatile for any occasion. Longevity 9/10, Scent 10/10. I would buy it again.
Very nice scent, reminds me of J’adore but fresher. When I first put it on my skin, I loved it, but it barely leaves a trail; that’s the only thing I didn’t like. The apple note is very noticeable.
Something weird happens with this fragrance… I buy it several times a week because it’s not overpowering, but it lasts forever on clothes, even until the next wash, while on my skin it barely lasts two hours and leaves almost no trail. Plus, it smells different every time I buy it. Do they renew it or change the formula by country? It’s a mystery. The bottle is the same, but the perfume isn’t. I used to check the batch for the date, and it’s still different. It’s strange. It’s great for daily wear, but if you’re looking for something potent, you’ll be disappointed. It has the DKNY apple DNA but is more sophisticated, less common, and less sweet. Perfect for the office, classes, or everyday use. No age limit. I like it, but it’s not my favorite.
My mom gave this to me a year ago, and I had to re-open the bottle, which I didn’t like because it used to dispense through a hole. But it smells exactly like when I bought it years ago. It has nothing to do with J’adore; this one is less invasive, sweeter, and fresher. I’ve gotten so many compliments. The downside is it doesn’t last, but I have a special affection for it. It’s a nice, versatile fragrance for any occasion—more casual but still sophisticated. I love this apple scent and will try the rest of the line.
I was super curious and… oh no! What a disappointment. At first, it smells like room spray, and then, after a while, it reminds me of that 90s lip balm my mom used to give me in Avon catalogs. I wouldn’t recommend it even as a gift; I hated it.
