It has nothing to do with Bvlgari Man In Black; it’s totally inspired by Bleu de Chanel.
I had to buy it because it was the only Cuban scent I still needed to try (excluding some discontinued ones like the Hollywood line), and I don’t know who said it smelled like Bvlgari Man In Black—maybe they were following a YouTube review I also saw, but it’s nothing alike. It’s inspired by Mont Blanc Legend (and thus, Fierce). Like Cuba Milestone (inspired by Creed Aventus), these are fragrances with good longevity but very poor projection: on my skin, it lasts 6 hours, but the projection is barely an hour after application. It’s excellent if you don’t want to spend much on a designer scent and don’t want to overwhelm those around you; it’s perfect for the office since it’s clean and has low projection. However, if you’re looking to turn heads, this isn’t your type.
A Cuban perfume that’s rare to find—it’s available but not common. It has a fruity, fresh scent; the opening reminds me of the pineapple note in Hugo Boss Bottled Unlimited, then it gets sweeter and settles like that. I have to apply 10 sprays and reapply with a perfume atomizer; it doesn’t project beyond half a meter, but it lasts about 4 hours on the skin. Great for everyday wear or casual situations when you don’t want to use your nicer fragrances.
Honestly, I barely smell it anymore; it seems too soft for my taste. I can’t expect more for the price, especially since I bought it in Ecuador. For what I spent, I’d prefer a catalog scent like Blue Night by Lbel or Ohm Black by Yambal, which project well for two hours and cost around $25-$30. But this is only my second day testing it, so I’ll keep using it to see if my perspective changes or if I stick with my initial thoughts.
