I was looking for something cheap for everyday wear without spending too much. I didn’t want to try the Cuba ones because the 2000s versions smelled old (probably because my dad and brother kept them in the bathroom). But when I tried this Shadow, I loved it, bought it on the spot, and have no regrets. I even use it to sleep in after a shower. If you see it, buy it—it’s a hit and you won’t stop using it.
The only downside is that it fades quickly; if you want it to last like a regular perfume, you’d have to drench yourself in it without overdoing it. With normal use, it might only last about half an hour.
This perfume has earned my respect. It definitely lasts for me; I guess it has good skin fixation. I own Bleu de Chanel Parfum, and this Cuba Shadow, despite not having the same quality, follows the same line. Throughout the day, it releases bursts of scent. If you want to try this type of fragrance without spending, this is an excellent option due to its low cost.
This perfume has earned my respect. It does last for me; I guess it has good fixation. I own Bleu de Chanel Parfum, and this Cubas Shadow, without having such high quality, holds up to that line of Bleu. Throughout the day, it throws out bursts of the scent; if you want to know how you’ll do with this type of fragrance, this is an excellent option due to its low cost.
All the Cubas are so watery that, although they hit hard at the opening, this Shadow compared to Bleu de Chanel EDT, you can’t even smell it after an hour. You have to spray it 15 times to notice it a bit, and watch out, after 3-4 hours, forget about it; it’s gone. That’s just how it is. If you’re an obsessed fan of Bleu de Chanel and can’t afford it (it’s ridiculously expensive, honestly, and never goes on sale), save up a bit for the Missoni Pour Homme, which is around 35-40 euros and is amazing and resembles it 80%, or better yet, check out some equivalents from the Spanish house Saphir (or Caravan, they’re the same) or some supermarket clones that are 8-10-12 euros and are quite well done; they’ll surely last much longer than this Cubas Shadow.
A very good fragrance at a laughable price. It’s not an exact clone of Bleu de Chanel, but it resembles it a lot; it’s fresher and, in my opinion, very versatile. A blind buy without any issues. Good projection and excellent longevity. Highly recommended.
It reminds me a lot of Bleu de Chanel, but in my opinion, they’ve gone a bit overboard with the pepper. But if you like it, it has more than acceptable longevity and projection at a very good price.
A cheap option to Bleu de Chanel, exactly $10. I recommend it for night out, for outings lasting no more than six hours. You can detect it once it dries after 15 minutes; at first, you put it on and don’t notice anything, but once it dries, who’s going to tell you it’s not Bleu?
It’s a cheap version of Bleu de Chanel, costing just $10. I recommend it for going out at night, lasting up to 6 hours. You notice it dry down after 15 minutes; at first, you spray it and smell nothing, but once it dries, who would say it’s not Bleu.
I bought it blind and really liked the scent. It’s true that longevity isn’t its strong suit (for now, it lasts about two hours on me), but I recommend it. It’s a very rich fragrance to have in your collection, and I’m using it quite a bit.
I bought it blind and really liked it. It’s true that longevity isn’t its strong suit (for now, it lasts me about two hours), but I still recommend it. It’s a great perfume to have in your collection and I’ve been using it quite a bit.
It’s brought me compliments that even my more expensive perfumes don’t get, and I always joke about the price. It’s worked out great for me, and the longevity surprised me; I’d buy it again, with the caveat that it might not perform quite as well as my current bottle.
I’ve received compliments that wouldn’t happen with my more expensive perfumes, and I always joke about the price. It’s worked really well for me and the longevity surprised me. I’d buy it again, with the caveat that it doesn’t perform quite as well as my current bottle.
And yes, I have it, I’m going for the second bottle… and yes, I really like it; it’s my guilty pleasure. People ask if it’s Bleu de Chanel, and I always say yes, haha. The notes are rich in synthetics but smell very masculine and fresh; the pepper is a bit heavy, but for the price in Mexico, I’ll buy it again. As it dries down, it’s more pepper and wood with a little herb and patchouli. If you’re not a perfume guru, give it a chance; personally, it’s the only one from the Cubas line I like.
First try right after opening on a hot spring day; it smells great. Then, with the heat, it becomes a bit sweet and woody without losing freshness, maybe thanks to that Iso E Super they mention. At $6 on sale in Chile, it lasts 5.5 hours; although it only projects strongly for the first hour and a half, I don’t mind carrying a decant to reapply before heading to work. Ideal for everyday wear or the office, neither too mature nor too youthful, perfect for ages 25 to 45.
It smells super elegant. The opening is very fresh, and as it dries down, it smells like lime with a touch of fine wood. It doesn’t last long, but for the price, there’s no complaint—you can shower in it without guilt.
